“A Resilient Love”

@bhawksnipes : I stand in my resilience because I honor and remember my past. Memories of my younger self push me forward with loving with an open heart. And my Black Trans ancestors/trailblazers ignite the light within me to push through the darkest of times.

@jahbeverly : My transness is a declaration that I am worthy of shaping my own story. Resilience is the fire that keeps me walking through a world that doesn’t always understand, knowing that my existence is powerful in itself.

Being in this relationship means choosing each other every day, even when the world makes that choice feel unlawful. Our love grows stronger through every challenge, guided by tenderness, truth, and the freedom we create together. Resilience isn’t just what we hold—it’s who we become, hand in hand & side by side.

Our love lives in the strength we build together, in the courage to exist fully, and in the quiet defiance of choosing each other again and again. Our love isn’t just unique, it’s a testament to survival, to affirmation, and to the beauty of living and loving as our true selves.

Right before & after moderating at Day 1 of Culture Con I was told that @gracedetrevarah , @jiiggy.333 & my cat baby (with Jah) Basil had passed away. 💔

As I was on my way to BK Navy Yard I was a emotional wreck on the inside but I chose to pull strength from my ancestors to show up & stand in my power. I wanted to pay tribute to 4 of them that got me this far . Black women (cis & trans) are the pillars of our existence and impact culture. I wanted to honor them in collaboration with jewelry maker @creeandcompany . 🖼️✨

I stand tall with all of you on my shoulders & will love you forever.
