4 years later finally a state champion! No pr’s today, just getting through the meet, sad to have to say goodbye to my high school lifting career. Powerlifting has been the best journey I’ve been on and it’s only going to continue. Thank you THSWPA you have been good to me and have given me friendships I could’ve never imagined! I’ll start off by saying how extremely proud I am of this team, not only to have WON STATE but to go UNDEFEATED the whole season. While I didn’t place what I had planned on 2nd place is still a huge improvement from 7th place last year at state. This is the most supportive group of girls I have ever been with, the downs of meets are nothing compared to the ups. After season ended last year I didn’t plan on coming back, without addie encouraging me to continue and being by my side anytime something went wrong, I wouldn’t have been a part of this team. To emmi being by my side through every practice and every meet even though we had to compete against each other it never felt wrong. She has been one of my biggest supporters throughout this season watching me lift right after her, even if something went south for her she was always so happy to watch me succeed. I’ll miss my seniors terribly next but I’m happy to have been trained by ani, one of the best lifters I know and look up to. Now I get to be the person that rookies look up to. Coming into this season I didn’t know what to expect considering how I ended last year at regionals. Safe to say I made a comeback but not as good as it should’ve been, I went 5/9 and ended with a 755 total but I am not disappointed. If I didn’t have the teammates, coach, or supporters that I have right now I can surely say I would not have made it through the state meet. I had some hiccups along the way but they didn’t let it discourage me, they helped me to keep pushing through it and made sure I was doing all that I could. I met great people along the way this year and I wish the best for them as they continue on with their journey into college. Next year will be better and I will continue to train hard in hopes to be at the top of the podium. by @bianca_c57

That’s a wrap of freshman season. Wish I could’ve ended my season better but it’s one to remember. I couldn’t have asked for a better group of girls to start off with. See you next year taken in Edinburg, Texas by @bianca_c57
