Theresa @theresathor as Kilter with an introspective and harmonically rich set,
@r.sheaves.music (Robert and Jessica) tore it up on their Winnipeg leg of their tour - I learned that Roger is a composer as well!!
And finally, my first time hearing @bicyclefaceband perform - truly a delight. @lobarwpg

So much artistry, poetry, harmony, play, and fun. Great people and music. Thanks for the delightful evening! taken in Winnipeg, Manitoba by @bicyclefaceband

🌸 One week away!! 🌸

Join us for a sweet lil house show at @lobarwpg !

Our (BF's) own @theresathor will detach from the trio to kick off the evening with her first performance under her old/new name, ✨️Kilter✨️ - I (Ava) can confirm that Theresa had the name first but then the beer company came along and long story short she stopped using it for a bunch of years so she wouldn't be associated with craft beers but honestly I think it's great marketing. T can correct me in the comments if I'm getting this story wrong. In fact, you can all weigh in about it if you like!

The delightful @r.sheaves.music is joining us all the way from Newfoundland!

Bicycle Face plays last! Can't wait to close out this lovely night of music🌹

Doors 7:00
Kilter 7:30
R Sheaves 8:15
Bicycle Face 9:00
Home by 10:00 = a perfect & chill night yay!

Message Lo Bar for tix!

🌼🌼🌼

P.S. Check out this gorgeous poster lovingly and painstakingly collaged over the course of many hours by Theresa i.e. human-made etc etc you get what I'm saying by @bicyclefaceband

Today in random treasures from my 1,300-release (and counting) collection of local music: 2022’s ‘Bicycle Space’ by the mighty @bicyclefaceband!

I have been a big fan of @ava.wray.music and @theresathor’s delightfully weird little pop duo for well over a decade now, so when I heard this was coming out, I was already sold. Then I heard that THE SONGS ARE ABOUT OUTER SPACE 🤯

Highly recommended. Bicycle Face forever. One of my all-time favourite band logos too. They’ve been on the podcast a number of times, together and separately, to talk about various projects… but most recently as Bicycle Face on #739 in 2022: https://witchpolice.com/episodes/wr739-bicycle-face taken in Bicycle Face by @bicyclefaceband

🦄🦄🦄 IT'S TIME! 🦄🦄🦄

(On a harmonized ascending dominant 7th arpeggio:)

🎵It's time it's tiime it's tiiiiime it's TIIIIIIIIIIME🎵

Tonight, March 28th, Bicycle Face transforms into our alter ego tribute act, More Than Horses, to perform all of our favourite album, Who Will Cut Our Hair When We're Gone by the Unicorns!

Introducing the rest of the band: It is us! @theresathor and @ava.wray.music ! You know us already!

Theresa's favourite Unicorns song is "Jellybones," the song voted most likely to restore justice to the healthcare system, and Ava's is "Ready to Die," which is in regular rotation on her inner soundtrack any time she has to complete an even mildly arduous task.

(Also pictured here is Pitou, who will make a guest appearance on glockenspiel.)

Sidestage! Doors at 8:30 Unicorns at 9:30! See you there! ✨️

Meet the Unicorns Band: John on bass (+ special announcement!)

@im_john_himes is taking a break from playing Baroque continuo on his theorbo (google it) to lay down the tastiest basslines for this show. You may recognize him from his two special appearances in our space show (swipe for squid). John's favourite Unicorns song is also Les Os, specifically the ba baa bababa ba baa part.

This Saturday, March 28th, 8:30 PM at @sidestagewpg: @bicyclefaceband transforms into The Unicorns for @reallovewpg. We're playing all of Who Will Cut Out Hair When We're Gone, from front to back, or maybe back to front depending on the stylist.

Ticket lynks in b10! Hope to see you there 🫶🏻

Meet the Unicorns Band: Kelsey on drums!

@knicks58 has impeccable time and the choicest fills (and t-shirts). She's been awe-ing us with her chops since we all went to music school together in Brandon, many moons ago. Her favourite Unicorns song is Les Os, even though she’s still not quite sure how to pronounce it (🇹🇫🦴?).

This Saturday, March 28th, 8:30 PM at @sidestagewpg: @bicyclefaceband transforms into The Unicorns for @reallovewpg. Truly a bucket list show for our little punk hearts, cannot wait to play the catchiest songs-with-no-chorus ever written 🦄✨

Ticket lynks in b10! Hope to see you there 🫶🏻
