Photo study of the potholes from the previous painting session with Mom. Kinda neat, it almost tiles up with the previous one! by @bifanoland

Painting with Mom today at a nice little spot.

Not pictured: the 100’s of dead salmon! We prayed for speedy nose-blindness and held our breath- but it’s good to see the return of all the fish. Next time we’re gonna have to bring some of that ‘silence of the lambs’ cream to rub under our noses 🫠 by @bifanoland

A fun, flowy pleinair at Kananaskis falls done during my September art retreat.

There are a couple spots left in my upcoming October/November session of my online class with @warriorartcamp- the next best thing to painting in-person!
I give lots of critiques and paintovers, tell bad jokes, and plenty of live demos. It's a relaxed, low pressure learning environment and we have fun!

A little studio study from Kananaskis falls. The light falling through the early autumn foliage was so pretty.

Still a few spots open in my October/November session of "Stylizing On The Fly" with @warriorartcamp. Link is in my bio! by @bifanoland

A couple of plein air paintings from my recent retreat in Canmore, AB.
Painting #1 is an old stump inspired by the incomparable Willie Real who drew many beautiful stumps on our 2024 retreat, and #2 is from a drizzly outing to Banff.
My October/November session of "Stylizing On the Fly" has a few spots left-
I'll teach you some important strategies to break down the often daunting process of landscape painting into manageable chunks. Link in bio to sign up!
Class runs from October 31, November 7, 14, & 21, 2026 by @bifanoland
