Traditional and digital painters are both welcomed - but please know Laura won’t go over digital painting techniques.

Day 3 at Lake minnewanka. The day started off cloudy but by the end of our first painting session the sky had cleared up entirely and WOW the mountains surrounding us were so majestic!!! I was completely unaware of how much the mountains would pop out behind the clouds!

Laura’s back to tell us why she’s supporting Kootenay Holds! ✨

And she said what we’ve all been thinking… Creston is almost perfect but it really needs a climbing gym! 🧗‍♀️

If you want to help bring more climbing to Creston, you can donate at kootenayholds.com/donate or e-transfer kootenayholds@gmail.com! Every little bit helps 💛

A lot of fun creating those gouache paintings for Stylizing of the fly workshop by @bifanoland @warriorartcamp !

First a small scene from Murin-an garden. It’s not a style I naturally paint in, but feel drawn to explore further now, focusing on how to simplify a landscape into clear shapes to build a more stylized composition.

Last photo is a really fun in-class study experimenting with wet on wet gouache techniques.
