Save this for later and send this to someone who is looking to get their first fish 🙈

Freshwater Starter Fish Tier List: S → D!

We’re ranking freshwater fish based on how beginner-friendly they can be for someone starting their first aquarium!

🟢 S-Tier = More beginner-friendly and generally easier to care for
🔴 D-Tier = Better suited for fishkeepers with more experience, specialized care, or setup knowledge

Remember: D-Tier doesn’t mean a bad fish! Every fish has its own needs and can be an amazing addition to the right aquarium. 💙

This isn’t about which fish is “best” — it’s simply about which ones may be easier to start with.

Where would you rank them? 👇
