Happy First Day of School!!!! Heads High....God's HIGHER.

We made it out the group chat, and had a delightful time in The Valley of Wine. I was anxious about popping out and back in right before the new school year kicks off, BUT figured it out because the parentals deserve to have a life and ride off the vibes every now and again too!

@ike_aris & @johnte_archer THANK YOU for being the most gracious hosts! The attention to detail and consideration you had for all of us speaks volumes in ways I am still trying to express my gratitude and appreciation.

Fun fact: In 2003 I was in the greatest Super Bowl commercial that never aired.

I was Daunte Culpepper’s stunt double (I'm the one actually getting tackled)… and #90 on the sideline.

The spot was pulled after Joe Horn scored a touchdown and delivered his now infamous cell phone celebration.

The NFL didn’t want to encourage players to have cell phones on the field. 🤷🏾‍♂️

10th BIRTHDAY RECAP:
This past weekend owes these two NOTHING!

We threw not one, but TWO, WICKEDLY GOOD celebrations for our little ladies.

First up: A movie date to view the highly anticipated pt.2 and final film in the #Wicked series for FOURTEEN tweens. 🤪

They had me overstimulated while simultaneously praying that educators everywhere get the raises they deserve! Please note: This was NOT for the faint of heart or weak! However it was certainly all worth it!

Secondly: We pulled off the most sensational SURPRISE party with our FRAMILY and extended village. IF you know or have met Maysen Coleman you know she is always and forever all in the business! Sis has the keenest eye and misses NO beats.

The amount of mental gymnastics and strategic planning to navigate in and around her face left me exhausted in every way!

Thank you to our amazing chaperones NO IG (Tamikia & Emily) - we couldn't have done it without you. #SERIOUSLY (No greater patience and execution exists) 🥰🥰

Thank you to our aunties and cousins for coming out to surprise and love on our girls in such a MAJOR way. I am emotional even thinking of your extension of love and support!

Somehow we blinked and the babies we felt like we just had a decade ago; are no longer babies, and have officially entered the land of DOUBLE DIGITS!

November 22, 2015 - debuting 4 weeks in advance, Maysen and Reagan are the perfect ambassadors to usher in Sagittarius Season!

These two delightful beauties have filled our hearts and home with so much love, compassion, wittiness and brilliance. How fortunate are we to have been blessed with this special double dose of awesome.

We are in constant awe of who these little ladies are becoming. Witnessing them blossom into the greatest versions of themselves is an honor & privilege.

Continue to make every room brighter just by being yourselves!

We pray you never stop dreaming BIG, chase all of your dreams, and know that you can achieve anything you set your minds to.

May you both ALWAYS know and hold dear, that we will always be here for you, cheering you on and loving you unconditionally.

Dear God, as our children begin a new school year, We pray for Your presence to be with them. Please guide their steps, protect them from harm, and help them to learn and grow.

Grant them wisdom, understanding, and the ability to make good choices. May they find joy in their studies and make positive connections with their teachers and classmates.

We've officially got a Middle Schooler and two Fourth Graders!

Please cover all students, staff, leadership, parents and all who pour into developing our next generation of excellence. taken in Sugar Land, Texas by @bigbencoleman

This trip was more than beaches, safaris, and stamps in our passports. It was about gratitude and recognizing God’s blessings.

I have always imagined being able to give my family more, to show them the world beyond what I experienced growing up. Watching my kids walk the streets of Stone Town, see lions feeding in the Serengeti, and sit together at breakfast while hippos and crocodiles moved through the water nearby was heartwarming.

Zanzibar, the Serengeti, and even a quick stop in Dubai were all incredible. What means the most is knowing that my kids will carry these memories for the rest of their lives. I am grateful to God for where I came from, the journey that got me here, and the ability to give them a view of the world I once only saw in books and on TV as a child.

This was more than a vacation. It was a reminder of the purpose behind all of my hard work… family!

After Zanzibar, we traveled to a northern part of the Serengeti National Park and stayed at @alexwalkerserian one of the few permanent camps in the Lamai Wedge. We spent five days in a luxury two-bedroom, two-bathroom ‘tent’ with the most incredible staff and Sam, our amazing driver and guide, who made every moment unforgettable.

From cheetahs playing and lions feeding to wildebeest crossing the Mara River and everything in between, every game drive was something special. We saw elephants, giraffes, leopards, zebras, hippos, crocodiles, buffalo, hyenas, gazelles, eagles, and even a few curious warthogs. The vast landscapes, endless skies, and abundance of wildlife were just remarkable.

Even managed a quick visit across the Kenyan border (shhh… don’t tell anybody). One of my favorite moments was having family breakfast in the park while watching hippos and crocodiles. The Serengeti gave us memories for a lifetime.

Zanzibar was the perfect start to the Coleman family vacation! From relaxing on the beach to taking in the smells and flavors at Maganga Spice Farm, dining at The Rock and wandering the historic streets of Stone Town, the Spice Island set the tone for an unforgettable trip.
