We made it out the group chat, and had a delightful time in The Valley of Wine. I was anxious about popping out and back in right before the new school year kicks off, BUT figured it out because the parentals deserve to have a life and ride off the vibes every now and again too!

I may not be a father (yet), but I am and always will be a staunch "Dadvocate" and advocate for maternal health, especially for Black women and women of color who face alarmingly high rates of obstetric violence, medical racism and misogyny, and gaps in care and increased maternal mortality in the US and globally.

10th BIRTHDAY RECAP:
This past weekend owes these two NOTHING!

We threw not one, but TWO, WICKEDLY GOOD celebrations for our little ladies.

First up: A movie date to view the highly anticipated pt.2 and final film in the #Wicked series for FOURTEEN tweens. 🤪

They had me overstimulated while simultaneously praying that educators everywhere get the raises they deserve! Please note: This was NOT for the faint of heart or weak! However it was certainly all worth it!

Secondly: We pulled off the most sensational SURPRISE party with our FRAMILY and extended village. IF you know or have met Maysen Coleman you know she is always and forever all in the business! Sis has the keenest eye and misses NO beats.

The amount of mental gymnastics and strategic planning to navigate in and around her face left me exhausted in every way!

Thank you to our amazing chaperones NO IG (Tamikia & Emily) - we couldn't have done it without you. #SERIOUSLY (No greater patience and execution exists) 🥰🥰

Thank you to our aunties and cousins for coming out to surprise and love on our girls in such a MAJOR way. I am emotional even thinking of your extension of love and support!

Somehow we blinked and the babies we felt like we just had a decade ago; are no longer babies, and have officially entered the land of DOUBLE DIGITS!

November 22, 2015 - debuting 4 weeks in advance, Maysen and Reagan are the perfect ambassadors to usher in Sagittarius Season!

These two delightful beauties have filled our hearts and home with so much love, compassion, wittiness and brilliance. How fortunate are we to have been blessed with this special double dose of awesome.

We are in constant awe of who these little ladies are becoming. Witnessing them blossom into the greatest versions of themselves is an honor & privilege.
