Okay, this is pretty fabulous. 🥹🏆

The Big Gay Picnic has been selected as a 2026 Hillcrest Honors honoree in the Fabulous Event category!

What started as a simple idea to bring our community together for a picnic has grown into something pretty special — because of all of YOU who keep showing up. 🧺🌳

And because BGP is volunteer-led and our picnics are free to attend, community support helps us keep them that way. 💛

Want to help keep the picnic going? You can support BGP through the link in our bio.

Thank you, @hillcrestsandiego, for this recognition — and thank you, San Diego, for believing in this little picnic of ours. 🥹

Shout out to our BGP Board:

WE MOVED INDOORS. WE’RE STILL ON. 🎃🖤

Mother Nature changed the plans, so Howl-O-Ween is moving indoors to The Brass Rail this Sunday — and we’re keeping the picnic vibe alive.

🎸 3 live bands
🎮 Live gaming + tabletop games
👻 Costumes + gear encouraged
🎃 Howl-O-Ween costume contest
🎁 Giveaways + prizes
🐻 Bears San Diego + community collabs
🍴 Bring something potluck-style, grab takeout, or check out Crest Cafe next door

IMPORTANT: The Brass Rail is 21+ — bring your ID.

📍 The Brass Rail
3796 Fifth Avenue, San Diego
📅 Sunday, October 11
⏰ 11 AM–3 PM

Then keep the night going at our official R Place after-party from 5–9 PM.

The weather changed the venue — not the energy. Come rally with us, hang out, support the bands and community groups, and spend your Sunday with BGP. 🖤
