San Diego Anime Con is excited to announce our collaboration with Big Gay Picnic for their annual Halloween-themed picnic “Howl-O-Ween” 🎃

🗓️ Sunday, October 11
⏰ 11AM to 3PM
📍 Cypress Grove Picnic Area, Balboa Park
🎟️ FREE for all ages
🦹🏽‍♀️ Costumes encouraged, never required
🍔🧃 Bring Nibbles and/or drinks for potluck, if possible

Visit SDAC at our pop-up tent to say hello, grab a few treats, and win fun anime prints 🤩 And then, explore the rest of Big Gay Picnic with your fellow persons, enjoying multiple Halloween-themed activities, more chances to win fun prizes, and touch grass 🌳

We hope you can join us in our celebration of self-expression, uniqueness and community, ALL are welcome 🌎

✨ It’s that time again! Join us for our annual Hygiene Kit Community Drive! ✨
We’re keeping the tradition alive by coming together to package hygiene kits for those in need, and we’d love your help to hit our biggest goal yet!
🎯 Our Goal: 400 Kits!
❤️ Benefiting: Vista Hill, an incredible local nonprofit making a real impact in our community.
📅 When: Sunday, Oct 11, 2026 | 11:00 AM – 3:00 PM PDT
📍 Where: Balboa Park (2909 Balboa Dr) — held alongside the monthly Big Gay Picnic!
📦 WHAT WE NEED:
* Hygiene Items: Toothbrushes, toothpaste, soap, shampoo, deodorant, menstrual products, razors, lotion, bandages, tissues, lip balm, wipes, floss & gallon ziplock bags. (No alcohol-based products, please!)
* Easy Snacks: Granola bars, nuts, dried fruit, crackers, pretzels, jerky, mini cereal boxes, water bottles.
💡 HOW TO HELP:
1️⃣ Bring items in person: Come hang out, pack kits, enjoy food, and make new friends!
2️⃣ Sign up what you’re bringing: Use the spreadsheet link in our bio.
