One the way home from my road trip I made stop in Baton Rouge, LA for the LSU v. Texas A&M game. I had been told numerous times that it was THE place to see a college football game. I was excited to go.

However, the whole experience and game seemed manufactured and produced. The crowd wasn't creating the excitement. The crowd was just reacting to rehearsed music and the stadium DJ. It felt very fake. In my opinion it isnt even close to Camp Randall in Madison, WI. or Husky Stadium in Seattle WA. by @bighesstrength

Two weekends ago I took a "short" trip down to Houston to ...

A. Most importantly visit an old high school friend @philosophami who has come through my way many times so i finally was able to get down his way.

B. Stop by @criterion_bars and visit with Bruce in Searcy Arkansas. We have only ever communicated through messenger but he was gracious to have me visit him early Friday morning and show me his equipment. His designs and engineering are decades ahead of their time.

B.2. Get my first speeding ticket in 25+ years in Queen Cityn TX

C. Visit @ironcorestrength in Montgomery, Tx and try out Tyler's pieces. The hip press is unreal and I will be ordering one in the near future. Maybe his lat pull-down too.

D. pick up this Rogers Pendulum Performance 3-Way Row. It was a great price but needs a little work. The chest pad was rough and one of the weight horn sleeves was missing so I have ordered the parts and will post the final results. It is a great piece designed by @tylerjhobson

After months, I finally got around to taking apart this piece to bring on down to the basement. It was in good shape but had a lot of grime, dust, and markings on it. It came off, but it was taking a lot of effort to remove.

I saw this FW1 sitting on the shelf, I bought it 10-12 years ago and never used it. I decided to give it a shot. It worked phenomenally!!! Spray on wipe off with a terry cloth and then wipe down with a microfiber. In seconds, the paint was shining like new. It also did a great job on the rubber.

When you start building your home gym, some of the first things you get are a whole bunch of smalls. Those are the pieces that you need to figure out how to store. Otherwise, they end up everywhere.

Well, a few years back, I purchased this set of old lockers, and i have used it to store all of the smalls;
Knee wraps, wrist wraps, attachments, straps, shoes, etc... keeps it all organized and clean.

It takes years to build a gym curating and upgrading and editing out equipment. It doesn't generally happen overnight. Be patient, make it what makes you happy as it is your space. by @bighesstrength

Came home to Vancouver for a couple weeks to take care of stuff at my parents home so my dad can get around better and arrange some renovations for a space for my son and his future wife to live in. So I decided to bring my big sis to a World Cup match to thank for everything she does for my folks.

The environment here even an hour pre game (Turkiyei v Australia) is awesome. by @bighesstrength

Does anyone out there have this version of the Icarian Smith Machine or know where one is located? I can't find images of this one online. If you look at this, the guide rods are in front of the frame instead of behind it. All other images I find the rods are behind the frame. by @bighesstrength

I picked up this BodyMasters PS300 Squat a couple of months back. Just got around to cleaning it up and applying new decals from @fitcult.supply

If you look in the second photo, you can see that someone tried to remove the old decals and left behind a giant sticky mess. Scraping it off is the only way to go. It takes several applications of @googone and scraping with a plastic ice scraper to get it off, but it does come off. A final wipe down with acetone to remove any oils or dirt and then apply the decals.

@fitcult.supply is not cheap, but they have a large collection of decals in their library that can help you restore/fixup/complete almost any machine. The decals are hard to differentiate from OEM ones. Highly recommended for an original looking piece of equipment. by @bighesstrength
