THE FATBAR DOESN’T NEED AN INTRODUCTION. IT NEEDS PLATES.

80 pounds of SOLID STEEL.

Designed by @thompsonbowtie in 2000 specifically for bench training—long before thick-bar training became trendy.

And here’s another piece of the story: Donnie had these FatBars fabricated by Rob Heselton. We’re lucky enough to have TWO of these bad-ass pieces of strength-training history sitting in the Raw Mana dojo.

32” power bar rings.
49.2mm collars.
18.5” loading space per side.
Chamfered ends.
Plenty of knurl.
And enough room to make the bar as nasty as you want it.

The solid construction gives you a completely different feel than those hollow axle bars.

This is what happens when someone actually ENGINEERS a bar instead of just making one thicker.

FatBar.

Built in 2000.
Fabricated by Rob Heselton.
Still badass in 2026.

TWO OF THEM. ONE DOJO. RAW MANA. #rawmana #fatbar #oftenimitatedneverduplicated #donthateappreciate #squatbenchdeadlift

Rack pulls build the kind of strength you can’t fake. Raw Mana athletes are forged, not manufactured. At Raw Mana, we don’t just lift weights—we build athletes that refuse to break. “No ego. Just execution. Tyler attacks every paused bench command on the FatPad with the 80lb FatBar, then closes the session with DT Body Tempering and the hanging low back protocol. That’s how Raw Mana athletes separate themselves.” #rawmanaathleteswillnotbeoutworked #oftenimitatedneverduplicated #rawmanabodytempering #dtbodytemperingroller #rawmanapowerlifting @tyler_thetoad
