✨Soul Food meets Caribbean Cuisine✨

Y’all I found a spot that does a fusion of soul food cooking and Caribbean flavors, visit @bigjaysplace . Big Jay’s is black owned and brought to us by Big Jay 🧑🏾‍🍳🖤 Big Jays does a great job of marrying soul food cooking with Caribbean flavors 👌🏽 The Buffalo Chicken Pasta is creamy and the buffalo sauce hits just right 😉 Dive into the Soul Food Plate. You have to do a little dance for this 😁 I love their Soul Food Plate is done with Grilled Chicken and Mac & Cheese. This was a nice twist because a lot of times when people say “soul food” you think of fried. This was a refreshing change. Also, there is not one fryer at Big Jays 🤭👏🏽 Wash it Down with a Ting 💚 Ting is a Caribbean Grapefruit Sparkling Beverage. They were even featured on the @foodnetwork by @guyfieri . You feel the Caribbean vibes as soon as you walk in 🏝️ The Jerk Philly Salmon was juicy and delicious 🐟🥪 Yall know I love Salmon so the Caribbean Plate was a winner 🫶🏽 Come ready for the Rasta Pasta with Chicken. It had a good sweet jerk tang 🤤Try the Caribbean Stir Fry with Shrimp 🦐 Don’t leave without the Sweet Potato Pound Cake with Caramel Pecan Glaze 🍠OMGGGGGG!! This cake is 🔥 It’s moist, it’s the perfect sweetness, and the glaze is the cherry on top. *chef’s kiss* Happy Eating and Check them out! taken in Big Jays Place by @bigjaysplace

Normalize the NO.

Not every closed door is rejection.
Not every missed opportunity is a loss.
And not every “no” means never.

Sometimes God says no because you’re not ready yet. Sometimes the opportunity isn’t ready for you. Sometimes He’s protecting you from something you can’t see. And sometimes, it simply isn’t your time.

We spend so much energy being disappointed by the doors that didn’t open that we forget to thank God for the ones He kept closed.

I’m learning not to take every “no” personally.

No can be protection.
No can be preparation.
No can be redirection.
No can simply mean… not yet.

God’s timing doesn’t need to match my timeline to still be perfect.

So I’m normalizing the NO.

I’ll keep working.
Keep growing.
Keep preparing.
Keep praying.

Because when it is my time, I won’t have to force the door God intended for me to walk through.

A “no” today may be the very thing preparing you for the “yes” you’ve been praying for.
