TOMORROW Friday 9/25 @neckofthewoodssf upstairs !! Little Oil opens our whimsical night of indie folk rock 🦀✨

Little Oil is the fever dream of a Mexico City born San Francisco Bay Area songwriter musician that finally fulfilled his creative urge to be the totalitarian dictator of his musical world and go solo with his self titled debut album. A lover of punk, classic rock, indie, & old time country & blues, his music is a voodoo mixture that sounds both familiar but fresh and original. What started as a bedroom project has now transformed into an energetic and exciting live sextet augmented by some of the most talented musicians in the Bay Area.

FRIDAY! a night of folk, rock and moooore awaits you at Neck of the Woods ✨ today we feature Medscool - school’s back in SESH 🎶📚

Medscool is a rock group from San Francisco created and fronted by songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Maria Donjacour. Medscool began as a passion project for Maria as she navigated COVID lockdown away from her bandmates in Dinner Date and has blossomed into a strong live band with collaborations from some of the most talented musicians in the SF DIY music scene. Maria takes inspiration from a wide range of musicians such as Cate Le Bon, Jay Reatard and Ty Segall. She also pulls from her training as a dancer to create an engaging and lively performance. Maria’s bandmates Marika Stuurman on bass, Ellie Stokes on keys, Sammie Dee Wallinga drums, and Jas Stade and Alex Yu on guitar add their own unique styles to the mix to create a powerful sound and uplift the presence of women and gender- nonconforming people on the concert stage.

just a little over a week until our next sweet soirée at Neck of the Woods 🦋💫 today we feature Wiseacre on tour from Seattle!

Wiseacre is a folk-rock project led up by Kaje Wise, Calla Avery, Carrie Phillips and Jade Eliza Rosier. Wise’s songwriting
is a unique sonic quilt of their imagining, weaving together reverence for nature and passion for lush world building.
Wiseacre’s sound has drawn comparisons to Big Thief, Angel Olsen and Wednesday. The band’s live performances are known
for cultivating moments of intimacy contrasted with heavy distortion and dramatic dynamics.
