The San Juan River is truly one of the best, if not the best trout tailwater in the Western United States. Laura landed the biggest rainbow trout that I have ever had the privilege of netting, and it couldn’t have happened to a better person. This is the kind of fish that you have to take a few minutes to soak in… congratulations, Laura, on the fish of a lifetime! Some fish will stick with me forever, and this is one of them!

Had the opportunity to guide the Soaring Eagle Lodge owner, Mike Lyons and put him on this fish of a lifetime. I spotted this fish feeding hard, Mike put a perfect cast on him, and the rest is history. Great job Mike, it was a pleasure!! @soaringeaglelodge @dryflier67
