What a weekend at Art Fair Tampa! 🚪🌿 As this year’s Official Non-Profit Partner, The Rooted Door is dedicated to building immersive, world-class cultural experiences that unite our multidisciplinary artist community and fuel Tampa’s creative economy. It is with honor and exciting anticipation to present The ArtisTREE Gardens Sustainability Bar & Garden Lounge at the inaugural Art Fair Tampa. I will be hosting many of the women & men that inspire me to find my art in organics and zero waste solutions that bring us all life in ways that make for a greener hopeful future. Times are strange. As are people. So am I. I close my eyes to picture what the sound is inside. I keep my satellite open, hoping to pick up on anything that can raise the frequency. Through troubling periods, I harken back to the sounds of those before me and how they resonate through space and time, hoping to find the hope they found when they needed it. Time is strange. People are too. I always will be. Art Fair Tampa is happening Oct 15-18th. I'll be showcasing arts and organics and sustainability programming while advocating and promoting all of the partners and producers that grow Tampa everyday. Please consider joining and supporting myself and the countless people who make Earth less eh... and more art. I'll be performing and sampling honey and other goods from the garden. NEXT MUSIC EXCHANGE IS OCT 22! Lineup announcement later this week. Stay tuned! All photos by @pleaseinsertmedia @chriss.3_ crushed it! So funky and fun with an extra helping of rock! Plus, their synchronized dances are top tier. Ashley Smith captivating the audience with her moves and powerful voice! Jroc of Synergy in a Cup is a fantastic showman. His brand of fire mixed with hilarity always brings a smile to my face and uplifted the audience! Jus Henry is one of the finest singers in Tampa and his rhythm section of Ron and Bo are not to be trifled with! One of my favorite bands in town for sure. James really is one of the goats! He was in at 10am to dial in the quarter million dollar sound system and was the quintessential pro helping me keep the show on time. The system sounded awesome! Moonthing had a spellbinding set that reminded me of a strange mix of Soundgarden and Portishead. Loved the sheep props 🐑 The music exchange isn’t just music - it features local artisans too! Find an amazing hand crafted necklace, photography print, get a live caricature, and more! The space is enormous! The rooftop is one of the best in Tampa, too. It’s a great vibe catching the show below from the rooftop. There is a full kitchen and 3 bars too! Nick Ewing’s violin soared through the ethers during Astro’s set. More of the vendors Miguel has a brilliant idea! 💡 Moonthing 🌖 rocking the stage Dennis Amadeus is really fantastic! He always is so prepared to host, announce bands, keep the audience engaged, and we always make sure to promote other awesome local events. Hire this man for your events! He’s foremost a stellar poet - first met him at Smoken Word when he was doing one of his poems. Zenzi had a great set of funk, rock, and jam. Kat Hines on lead vocal was particularly impressive! Kat and some of the guys from Zenzi getting down! Bryan had an awesome Strat tone and John’s vocals really gelled with Ashley’s. Andrew behind the kit always is so tasteful. One of the MVPs of the Tampa music scene. Kat’s rendition of “Magic Man” by Heart would absolutely make the Wilson sisters proud! taken in 1920 Ybor City by @bignickewing

It is with overwhelming excitement to announce and share that the ArtisTREE Gardens team is going to be the Community Impact & Sustainability Director for Art Fair Tampa at The Tampa Convention Center. Our vision for reducing waste, transforming discarded materials into art, and supporting the environment aligns perfectly with our goals and aspirations. We'll have honey, local organics, seasonal procurements, and artworks for sale and fundraising for our community partners. We are engaging with sponsors to secure additional funding and volunteers for the inaugural sustainability and musical arts initiatives, so please reach out if yourself or folks you know have an interest in valuing our efforts and minimizing our environmental footprint through art. Voting with your dollar is something I heard from Chris Sgmatto years ago that stuck to me and pollinated me to realize that's one of the strongest ways we can grow forward with our value. When I procure local organics and select what to serve, I make sure to remember that everytime we value those around us we can keep that power close and use it sustain a better world. I struggle with keeping up to that promise everytime, just like I feel that we all do in one way or another, yet I do what I can do to know better and do better as much as possible. This fall, myself and the beautiful team and folks who keep me growing will be curating some wonderful things. New greenhouses and gardens, more gardinners, more events, and creative curations. All to showcase what we feel is the power of arts and organics. Shows to keep in mind: 9/24 at 1920 in Ybor with Ashley Smith & The Random Occurrence thanks to George Pennington III and Clear Music Exchange Imagine Museum on October 2nd for a solo show amongst the gallery. Art Fair Tampa October 15-18 with engagements leading up to it as well across Tampa. Where I will be performing and curating sustainability for the event. The work it takes to sustain bees is a true labor of care, love, and hope. Being an advocate for these pollinators is an easy choice, seen as how without them our society and culture would fall apart. We are a part of nature, and it is a part of us. We are not separate from this Earth. My immense thanks to Rachel Covello, her video team, the folks at Visit Tampa Bay, and our partner producers and sustainability collaborators. Without them these moments would not have been been possible. To be included with our friends and family at Meacham Urban Farms and supporting spaces like Hidden Springs Ale Work, and Howdy Hunny in this video is a true pleasure and honor.
