This is the intro to a mini doc about a city many folks continue to try and count out.

Here’s the full doc overview that makes me sound smart:

“Once a beacon of Black prosperity in Arkansas, Pine Bluff has weathered decades of economic decline. Now, a new wave of committed, non-political leaders are working to rewrite that story through bringing wealth to the city. The film aims to offers a snapshot of how Pine Bluff is reclaiming its legacy and redefining what it means to thrive within your American history.”

Anyway, hometown things. Link in the bio for it all.

Preciate Joni, Jimmy, and OB being down to be interviewed for it. Otherwise preciate Kenneth Bell behind the camera and Winthrop Rockefeller Foundation, The 1899 Project, and New World with the lob pass.

I'm that dude who enjoys watching the making of something sometimes as much as witnessing the actual thing itself. So hey, here’s a share.

All of this is way more bite sized than the full process, but does give a simple structure to how I get down with much of my non-performance based work things.

S/o to Batesville for letting me swing through and catch a glimpse of their world. Also, Kenneth as my project teammate and all else who did the heavy lifting.

Full doc coming soon, I guess then...

Reframing thoughts for the cheat code.
Simple in concept. Often complex in actuality, but worth the try.

Anyway, I sat down on The District 3 Podcast to chop it w/ Irvin Camacho the other day. Cool folks.

When I was looking for a community changemaker in Northwest AR to chop it w/, folks told me Irvin Camacho was that guy.

Plus, when I hit him, he said he heard good things about me and my work. If you give me props, we’re probably cool by default, so it was a quick connect.

One for the Road things.

Preciate Winthrop Rockefeller Foundation for the support.

I got to know the folks, Jasper, from spitting bars first. Came to learn of his mental health and fiscal literacy advocacy a lil later. Good peoples mane.

His new album is dropping sometime soon too (but he keeps pump faking on the release date).

Chilled with community organizer, Kristin Foster. She spoke on how "the system" IS working and because of such we have to utilize new ways to gain and flex power.

I was part of a voter drive Kristin co-organized her a few years ago and got to know her a bit. She’s bout that action, while enjoying the process as much as possible. So it was a pleasure catching up w/ her again to talk more community things.

Preciate @winthroprockefellerfound for the support.
