Mycelia Fest 2026 schedule has arrived! 🥳

Our weekend begins Saturday, August 15th, 2026 with a mushroom foray led by local foragers. We’ll head into the woods together to see what we can find, share what we know, and learn from one another along the way. The foray will conclude at Powderhorn Park, where we’ll gather for a potluck BBQ featuring our findings, followed by music and mushroom log makin to close the evening.

The following day, Sunday, August 16th, 2026, will be similar to past gatherings with thoughtful talks, workshops, and conversations grounded in storytelling, community wisdom, and many different ways of knowing. We’ll share a community meal, wander through a small marketplace of local vendors, and spend time catching up with familiar faces while welcoming new ones. As the day unfolds, we’ll close things out with a comedy show.

For 2026, storytelling will be at the heart of our talks and panels. As always, we’ll be moving with care for the land and for one another. Our community meal will be a bring-your-own-dish experience, helping reduce single-use waste while bringing a small piece of home to the table. We’ll provide washing stations to make reuse easy, communal, and even a little fun.

Mycelia Fest is shifting to a Pay-What-You-Can model this year. If you have the means, we invite you to contribute in a way that feels reciprocal and aligned with the value you receive. Your support helps feed the community meal, compensate presenters and organizers, support local vendors, and sustain the work that makes this gathering possible.

The line up is here for our Feast at Powderhorn Park! After our foray at Fort Snelling, we will migrate to Powderhorn park for a potluck BBQ, mushroom making workshop, and music hosted by @cosmicsynergy303 ✨

Looking forward to kicking off Mycelia Fest with a full day of outdoor activities. Excited to see everyone!!

WOW! What an absolutely epic weekend y’all. Thank you to everyone who came out and enjoyed Mycelia Fest 2026 🎉

This was exactly what we dreamed Mycelia Fest to be and what a kick off to this new chapter of our annual gathering.

That’s a wrap folks! 16 hours of cooking for this weekend 🎉

Super excited to share this meal with yall! Not gunna lie…the tamales are fucking fire 🔥🔥🔥

We will see you tomorrow at fort snelling to kick off the weekend! Then powderhorn park for our bbq potluck and live music. We’ll be making the tortillas fresh on the spot 🤞🏽

Then Sunday is tamale day 🙃 see you soon!!

Big thanks to everyone that came out to help cook! I think we did about 300 tamales? 🤔

Thank you to everyone who donated produce and to @cityfoodstudio for using their space. It has been so fun to all come together and cook this meal for y’all.

Just finished up harvesting at @frogtownfarm ! So excited for all this delicious produce we will be infusing into this year’s community meal. Looking forward to incorporating all the food donations from folks tomorrow!!

Looks like we will be at @cityfoodstudio a little earlier on Thursday, August 13th, if you would like to drop off donations around noon instead of 3, we will be there! Or if you are joining us to meal prep, feel free to swing by around noon to get started.

Grateful to have two meal prep days this year! We plan to prep our tamale dough and fillings on Thursday, along with some salsas and dips. Then Friday we will focus on assembly, dessert, and miscellaneous!

This year, our talks will follow a community storytelling format, highlighting personal stories and experiences from members of our community. Rather than traditional presentations, speakers will share their journeys, insights, and the paths that led them to their work.

Our vendor market will also reflect this spirit, featuring people who are sharing their story, their passion, and the work they bring into the world. Each booth represents a piece of the larger community narrative that makes Mycelia Fest what it is.
