7 tips to break 90 without changing your swing:

1. Play for Bogey
18 bogeys = 90. Make 17 bogeys and only one par? Congrats, you just broke 90. No need to chase birdies.

2. Keep It in Play
Lost ball = automatic +2 strokes. Almost a guaranteed double/worse. Can’t hit your driver worth shit? Hit hybrid/irons off the tee. Fairway>trees.

3. Get On in 3 (Par 4s)
Don’t stress over missed greens. Just get near the green in 2, chip on, and two-putt for the bogey. Avoid the blowups.

4. Drain Your 3-Footers
You’ll have 10+ short putts per round. Missing them kills your score. Practice these until they’re automatic.

5. Aim Center Green
That tucked pin is bait. Middle of the green = no disasters = consistent scores. You’re probably not good enough to hit it right at the pin anyways.

6. No Hero Shots
Punching out and taking your medicine beats going for the miracle, unfortunately. One bad decision = double or triple. Play the safe shot.

7. Get One Reliable Chip Shot
You just need one chip shot that gets the ball on the green reliably, it doesn’t have to be close, just on. Pick something simple you can repeat under pressure and stick with it.

Breaking 90 isn’t necessarily about talent. It’s about strategy. Play smarter and watch your scores drop.
