NFGA Season 2 Championship in Mesquite, Nevada! Between the courses and the blackjack tables, the fellas saw a lot of wins and losses. Rapidly meeting desert golf, some very high scores and some very low scores were seen!
Day 1’s 2-Man Scramble at Casablanca saw Red October (Dylan McConnell and Liam Cashmore) win with an incredible -7 Gross / -13 Net.
Championship Round 1 at Oasis The Palmer saw YB Na set an early tone with a -3 Net. Jake Melville and Joe Bowman entered the weekend’s race each with -2 Net.
Championship Round 2 at Coral Canyon brought carnage. Joe Bowman and Dylan McConnell walked away with -5 Net, meanwhile Joe Sammartino chased them with a -4 Net, and Jake Melville with another -2, the four of them cementing themselves in the final group for Sunday. (Non-league member Justin Manao put together an unbelievable -9 Net to win Net Low on the day). Meanwhile Liam Cashmore, Steve Cashmore, Mason Joe, Justin Behrens, Darius Joe, and Greg Brehmer all put together rounds over +10 Net, eliminating themselves from contention.
Championship Final Round at Conestoga resulted in YB Na’s personal best round of -8 Net, with a 39 gross on the front! From the 2nd to last group he found the lead early and didn’t look back. An incredible performance to claim the NFGA Title with a Season Score of -13. Joe Sammartino -8, Joe Bowman -5, Dylan McConnell -1, Teyj Menon and Ron Sisemore +2.
Mason Joe and Jack Daynes each with a weekend league high 12 on one hole of golf!
Gavin Cashmore walked away the fantasy champion with a 5-Man team of Joe Sammartino, Joe Bowman, Ron Sisemore, Dylan McConnell, and Liam Cashmore

League Championship!
Champion: YB -12
2nd: Joe Sammartino -8
3rd: Joe Bowman -5
4th: Dylan McConnell -1
5th: Ron Sisemore and Teyj Menon +2

CONGRATS TO ZACH MANAO FOR TAKING THE REGULAR SEASON TITLE!

Seattle Boys with the 1-2-3 finish! Who invited these guys??

Shoutout Gavin, Micah, and Mason for being the only 3 Inaugural Members to be in the top 10.

Mason Joe with the most regular season wins with 2 of the 10 Events but still barely snuck into the top 10!

13 Weeks until Championship Sunday! Here’s how the leagues stacking up. Will YB run away with it? Will Bremdogg have the comeback of the century? Will Mason stay the Joe Family Best Golfer? Who will take the title and who will take Leagues Worst Golfer? Stay tuned!

AND WE’RE OFF! Event 1 has come to a close. It’s confirmed, the league has NOT gotten any better. Good thing we have a new sandbagger, @joesammartino! (It was his personal best round, actually very cool). Interesting strategies taken from our Reigning Champion, @bigredgolfs … and runner up @ace.esser (in the most Esser way possible, hasn’t downloaded the app yet). Stay tuned for week 2!

1. Dylan (-4)
The champ. Is he a sandbagger? Not sure, but he better be a single digit handicap next year.
2. Esser (Even)
They call him the Ace for a reason. Low Gross for the weekend.
3. DJ (+3)
Newly crowned Joe family best golfer, a better Round 1 and he could’ve ran away with it all.
4. Mason (+5)
Only Joe family member to make the final grouping Sunday, very solid performance.
5. Liam (+8)
Thrown into the pool fully clothed and can’t score on a front 9.
6. Gavin (+11)
Biggest casino winner of the weekend, snuck himself a KP on the last round too.
7. Joe (+12)
Ricky Fowler himself, best dressed Sunday without a doubt.
8. Miles (+15)
The leagues new videographer, focuses on getting the angles.
9. Teyj (+21)
Was doomed from the start with Frontier Airlines leaving his clubs at LAX.
10. Coop (+25)
Was drunk for 72 hours straight, impressive showing.
11. Micah (+29)
Possibly the biggest breaker of fantasy teams, no doubt he’ll be on the range tonight.
12. Jason and P (+31)
Beyond fitting that the two Co-All-League Vibes Teamers are tied, anyone’s in for a good time in their group.
14. Jack (+102)
The door for most improved is wide open, hate to see someone struggle but that’s just golf.
