Sunday Smiles | Week of July 12
The cool thing about not posting in real time is having the chance to reflect on these Sunday smiles.

By this point, I had been easing my way back into physical activity and dance again. The hiatus was not my first choice, but it was best for me.

The Sunday smiles helped me through the times where rest and inactivity were the main event.

The consistency for this practice is one of my biggest successes of 2026 and I didn’t even mean for it to be.

I’m still focusing on choosing the small wins. Choosing the little joys. Because that’s where I find the biggest gems in life.

I’m sharing some things ping-ponging around my brain lately. I wanted to post them somewhere even if they don’t fit my feed or help “the algorithm.”

There’s not really a theme or call to action… unless connection is considered the CTA. Which is the point anyway, right?

Here are some thoughts about living with grief, creating art, getting older, living more of an analog life, and trying to stay human on the internet.

Sunday Smiles for 6.21.26 ☀️

Posting this two weeks late… or maybe exactly when it was meant to be.

I’m celebrating the reminder that I don’t have to keep pace with anyone else’s timeline… including my own expectations.

There is beauty in doing things in my own timing and finding joy in the small, intentional moments that quietly become a beautiful life.

This week’s Sunday Smiles is about finding my way back to myself.

Not through a grand adventure or a major milestone, but through sunshine on my skin, dinners that weren’t rushed, and saying yes to things that sounded fun.

This week felt lighter.

I’ve been embracing a new pace of life, one that leaves room for joy, connection, and simply being. Some days I have energy for more. Some days I don’t. It’s all in waves.

Instead of fighting the waves, I’m learning to ride them.

And somewhere between the sunshine, the conversations, and the quiet moments in between, I found a lot to smile about. 💛

Sunday Smiles has become such a meaningful practice for me lately… even when the post shows up on a Tuesday, Saturday, or whenever life decides. 😅

It’s brought me so much joy that I’m creating something to complement the Big Shift Energy podcast. I can’t wait to share more about this upcoming project and the simple practice that helped anchor me through the first half of 2026.

This past week, some of my biggest smiles came from the simplest things. Folding laundry. Tidying my place. Making myself meals. And doing all three in the same day.

Do I love those tasks? Not particularly.

But I do love what they represent.

Independence. Energy. Self-care. The ability to care for myself in ways that felt difficult for a while.

Sometimes the biggest wins aren’t flashy. Sometimes they’re found in clean clothes, a made meal, and the quiet gratitude of feeling a little more like yourself again. 💛

I’m grateful for…

🌻 Time shared with friends and family
🌻 The vibrant colors of a rich life… the meals, the sunsets, the flowers
🌻 Honoring my dad and celebrating his birthday in memory

Life asks us to hold both joy and grief in the same hands. To miss those we’ve lost while celebrating the beauty of their lives and the ways they still live on in us.

It really is such a beautiful life. 🌻

this week brought me a burger king crown (yes, i wore it), flowers just because, golden sunshine, oat milk coffee, rain on the windows, a vote cast for someone i truly believe in, paint on my hands, and a quiet moment to remember a scholarship that helped me reach my dream to graduate.

Sunday Smiles ☺️

Lately, the simple things feel the loudest.

Simple joys still count as big joys.

The coffee.
Sunlight on the floor.
The slower pace.
A good bite of food.
Sitting outside with nowhere urgent to be.

Thankful I could support two diff events at @eternity_wellness and @thebarretbabes this past weekend.

I loved getting an aura reading by @raysauraportraits too! 💙🩵
