Happy Fathers Day

Every day is a learning experience. I’m learning that in the midst of being a father and loving your children so much, you can forget and lose sight of the importance of your own mental health. I’ve fought so hard and for so long to be in all of my children’s lives. And through it all, my own mental health was deteriorating. It’s unfortunate that Fathers even HAVE to fight to be in their children’s lives or even to be considered an equal parent. Unfortunately, that’s just where we are and have been in society. In a world where EVERY DAY they work so hard to devalue the black father…I just hope that all of my children recognize and truly understand my sacrifices. While also understanding that sometimes, father’s just need a break to reset and consider themselves. I love all of my children to no end. Today, is a reset.

Happy Father’s Day to all of the amazing Father’s out there who understand the purpose. Who understands the sacrifice. But who also understands the reset. Today is for you. I hope you’re able to enjoy today with…..or without your children.

I USED TO WONDER IF I’D LIVE TO SEE 25… NOW AT 48, I BELIEVE MY BEST YEARS ARE STILL AHEAD OF ME. 🙏🏾

I’ve experienced some of the darkest years of my life, but through every setback and struggle, GOD HAD OTHER PLANS.

STILL EVOLVING. STILL LOVING. STILL LIVING.

I’m at peace with my past, grateful for my amazing wife and children, and excited about the future God has in store for me.

As a father, there just aren’t enough words to describe how these messages make me feel. This little girl is so special. And the way she loves her daddy…..my hopes are that EVERY father gets to experience this type of love in their lifetime.

No matter how far life takes me or how much I accomplish, Pine Bluff will FOREVER be HOME! 💛🖤

It’s something special about coming back to the place that made you who you are. The love, the hugs, the genuine excitement when people see me… that hits different when you know it’s REAL! And I’ll never take that for granted. I never know how much I really need that love until I come back to get it.

Pine Bluff ain’t perfect, but neither am I. I’ll never forget my roots or the people who helped shape my journey.

You can take me out of Pine Bluff, but you’ll NEVER take Pine Bluff out of me!

I love y’all man, I swear I do, PB! 💛🖤

Happy 18th Birthday, Cali & Lyssy! ❤️

Man… we’ve been through so much in these 18 years. But watching y’all grow into the beautiful young women you’re becoming has been one of my greatest blessings.

I didn’t truly know what love was until I had y’all. Y’all gave me purpose. Y’all gave me something to live for. And when life got dark, y’all gave me a reason to keep going.

My hope is that I’ve been a daddy you both can be proud of. All of the talks, the tears, the laughs, the time spent together….was all intentional and purposeful. It was all done in an effort to provide perspective. To show you what love and family should 𝐅𝐄𝐄𝐋 like.

Y’all will never fully understand how much you’ve changed my life… and how many times you’ve 𝐒𝐀𝐕𝐄𝐃 𝐢𝐭.

I love y’all more than words could ever express. Forever my baby girls. ❤️
