Americans prefer coffee over tea, does this sound more relevant to you?

Something as simple and ordinary as drinking a cup of coffee can bring us great joy and help us feel our connection to the Earth. The way we drink our coffee can transform our lives if we truly devote our attention to it. Sometimes we hurry through our daily tasks, looking forward to the time when we can stop and have a cup of coffee. But then, when we’re finally sitting with the cup in our hands, our mind is still running off into the future and we can’t enjoy what we’re doing; we lose the pleasure of drinking our coffee.

We need to keep our awareness alive and value each moment of our daily life. We may think our other tasks are less pleasant than drinking coffee. But if we do them with awareness, we may find that they’re actually very enjoyable. Drinking a cup of coffee is a pleasure we can give ourselves every day. To enjoy our coffee, we have to be fully present and know clearly and deeply that we are drinking coffee. by @billc603

“Without difficulties, life would be like a stream without rocks and curves- about as interesting as concrete. Without problems, there can be no personal growth, no group achievement, no progress for humanity. But what matters about problems is what one does with them.”

The world seems so Yin today, I feel Yang Bright not dark.

I think of the TTC… (paraphrasing)

Renouncing learning brings no trouble. The ‘yes’ and ‘yea’ are small differences. But mark their issues, good and bad. What space will the gulf between fill?

What men fear is indeed to be feared, but how wide and endless are the questions to be discussed!

The multitude looks satisfied and pleased, as if enjoying a full banquet or riding a springtime tower. I alone seem listless and still, my desires unexpressed. I am like an infant without a smile, dejected and forlorn, as if I had no home. The multitude has enough, while I seem to have lost everything. My mind is stupid, my state chaotic.

Ordinary men look bright and intelligent, while I seem benighted. They are discriminating, while I am dull and confused. I drift like a sailor, without rest. All men have their spheres of action, but I am dull and incapable, like a rude borderer. (Thus) I am different, but I value the Tao. by @billc603
