Forged for the Battle

Key Scripture:
“Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.”
Ephesians 6:11 (NKJV)

Supporting Scripture:
“For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.”
Ephesians 6:12 (NKJV)

Today’s Story:
One of the greatest lessons I learned after coming to Christ was that salvation doesn’t end the battle—it changes it.

Before I knew Jesus, I was fighting against addiction, chasing empty promises, and trying to survive on my own strength.

After I surrendered my life to Christ, I discovered there was another battle taking place, a spiritual one.

The enemy no longer wanted to keep me in darkness. He wanted to discourage me, distract me, and convince me that God could never use someone with my past.

There were moments when old temptations resurfaced. There were seasons of doubt. There were setbacks that tested my faith.
But each challenge became another opportunity to depend on Christ instead of myself. Over time, I realized something important:

Victory isn’t found in my strength.
Victory is found in standing firm in the strength of the Lord.

Forged Truth:
A master blacksmith doesn’t forge a sword to hang it on a wall. He forges it for the day it will be needed.

The heating…
The hammering…
The tempering…
The sharpening…

Every part of the process prepares the blade for the battle ahead. God works the same way in our lives.

The trials you’ve endured were never meaningless. The prayers that seemed unanswered. The hardships you never wanted. The valleys you wished you could avoid.

The Master Blacksmith has been using them to strengthen your faith, deepen your dependence on Him, and prepare you for moments when you will need to stand firm.

Your greatest battles often become the places where God’s greatest victories are displayed.
Many Christians are surprised when they face spiritual opposition.
When you feel weary, remember this: You are not fighting for victory.
In Christ, you are fighting from victory. #faith #armorofgod #victory #truth by @billy.borja

The Master Restores What Is Broken

Key Scripture:

“And I will restore to you the years that the swarming locust has eaten…”
Joel 2:25 (NKJV)

Today’s Story:
There were seasons in my life when I believed some things were gone forever.

Opportunities. Relationships. Dreams. Trust. I looked at the broken pieces and wondered if anything beautiful could ever come from them again. One of the deepest wounds in my life was the separation from my son. For years, that relationship seemed beyond repair.

As a father, there are few pains greater than feeling disconnected from your child. Yet I continued praying. I trusted God with what I could not fix.

Then, in His perfect timing, the Lord began restoring what I thought had been lost.

The healing didn’t happen overnight, but it reminded me of an unchanging truth:

When we place the broken pieces of our lives into God’s hands, He is able to do what no human effort can accomplish. His restoration is never rushed, but it is always purposeful.

Forged Truth:
Sometimes a master blacksmith receives a tool that has been bent, cracked, or damaged by years of hard use. An inexperienced craftsman might throw it away. The master sees something different. He knows that with enough heat… Enough patience… Enough careful work…

The metal can once again fulfill the purpose for which it was created.

God sees us the same way.
Our scars do not frighten Him. Our failures do not surprise Him. Our brokenness do not discourage Him.

The Master Blacksmith specializes in restoring what others believe is beyond repair.

He doesn’t simply polish the outside. He strengthens what has been weakened. He reshapes what has been bent. He restores what sin, suffering, and time have damaged.

Key Takeaway:
What you see as broken, God sees as an opportunity for restoration and redemption. #faith #hope #love #restoration #relationships by @billy.borja

So grateful to the Lord for His blessings and guidance with my book FORGED Through The Crucible of Hardship.
When I finished the manuscript I didn’t have a publisher. I stepped out in faith through prayer and supplication of the Lord to provide me a publisher, and a month later I met Wayne Kinde of Walk Through The Word Ministry, and through his publishing company God provided the publisher for the book.
I hope that you will check it out and get a copy for yourself and see how God moved in every hardship I have been through and walked me through it; and He will do the same for you!

Removing the Impurities

Key Scripture
“And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God in Christ forgave you.”
Ephesians 4:32 (NKJV)

Today’s Story,
One of the most difficult lessons God ever taught me was forgiveness.

There were people who had hurt me deeply. There were words spoken that couldn’t be taken back. There were disappointments that left lasting scars.

For a long time, I believed holding on to the hurt somehow protected me. Instead, it imprisoned me. The more I replayed the pain, the heavier it became.
Then the Lord reminded me of something I could never ignore. He had forgiven me for far more than I could ever be asked to forgive someone else. That realization didn’t erase the hurt overnight, but it changed my heart. Forgiveness became less about what the other person deserved and more about my obedience to Christ.

As I released my bitterness into God’s hands, I discovered a freedom I never expected.

Forged Truth

When steel is heated in the furnace, impurities rise to the surface. A skilled blacksmith doesn’t ignore them. He carefully removes them because even small imperfections can weaken the finished piece.

The Master Blacksmith does the same with our hearts. Sometimes the heat of life’s trials reveals anger…
Pride… Bitterness… Unforgiveness. Not because God wants to shame us. But because He wants to heal us.
He lovingly exposes what is hidden so He can remove what doesn’t belong.

The refining process isn’t meant to condemn us. It’s meant to make us stronger.

Reflection

Forgiveness is one of the clearest demonstrations of the Gospel. Jesus forgave those who mocked Him. He prayed for those who crucified Him. He offered grace to those who had rejected Him.

When we forgive, we aren’t saying that what happened was acceptable. We are saying that we trust God to be the righteous Judge.

Forgiveness doesn’t always restore every relationship. Sometimes wisdom requires healthy boundaries. But forgiveness always releases our hearts from the chains of bitterness.

The person who benefits most from forgiveness is often the one doing the forgiving. Freedom begins where forgiveness begins. by @billy.borja

FORGED TRUTH Acts 1:7 (NKJV)
“The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge,
But fools despise wisdom and instruction.”

Let’s unpack this scripture.

The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge. Let’s look at the word “fear”. Another word for fear is the word “reverence”, which is to have the highest level of respect and honor, and in this case we fear or revere God because of who He is. He’s omnipotent (all powerful), He’s omniscient (all knowing), and He’s omnipresent (He’s everywhere). God is also merciful, gracious, and loving towards us, and these attributes also should cause us to have a reverential fear of Him. It’s a healthy kind of fear!

We can gain knowledge from things like books, the internet, podcast, a sermon, AI and other sources; but the true source of ALL knowledge and wisdom comes only from an all-powerful, all knowing, and always present GOD.

Here’s how we can demonstrate that we fear God and can gain the knowledge of God. First and foremost by having a personal relationship with Him through His Son Jesus Christ. Spending time reading, studying and meditating on Gods Word, spending time in prayer, worshipping Him and in fellowship with other believers are some of the main ways we can gain the knowledge God.

The second half of this scripture says, “But fools despise wisdom and instruction.” Another word for “despise” is to disregard or ignore. This scripture say fools disregard or ignore wisdom and instruction. A person is a fool for disregarding or ignoring Gods wisdom and instruction.

My encouragement is that you spend time in Gods word and study it and know it. Spend time praying to God and sitting quietly before Him and ask Him to speak to you, and He will. Spend time worshipping Him in song and watch how your countenance can change when you enter the presence of God through worship. And spend time in church fellowship with other believers. These are what’s called “spiritual disciplines” and they are how we gain the knowledge and wisdom of God, therefore demonstrating our fear of Him. #god #feargod #wisdom #knowledge #understanding by @billy.borja

Trusting the Master’s Hands

Key Scripture

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths.”

Proverbs 3:5–6 (NKJV)

Today’s Story,

There was a time when trusting anyone felt almost impossible. Life had taught me to expect disappointment.

Some of my wounds came from my own poor choices. Others came from the choices of people around me.

There were broken relationships. Broken dreams. Broken promises.

After enough pain, it’s easy to build walls around your heart. I discovered, however, that while walls may keep hurt out, they also keep healing out. God never asked me to pretend my pain didn’t exist. He asked me to trust Him with it. That trust didn’t happen overnight. It grew one prayer at a time. One step of obedience at a time. One reminder of God’s faithfulness after another.

As I learned to trust the Lord more deeply, I discovered something beautiful: The safest place in the world is not where nothing can hurt you. The safest place is in the hands of Jesus.

Forged Truth

Watch a master blacksmith as he removes glowing steel from the furnace.

The steel doesn’t resist. It doesn’t pull away from the tongs. It doesn’t question every movement. It simply rests in the hands of the one who knows exactly what he is creating.

If the steel could choose its own path, it might avoid the furnace. It might fear the hammer. It might leave the anvil too soon. But then it would never become what it was created to be.

The Master Blacksmith asks for our trust—not because the process is easy, but because His hands are faithful. #godisfaithful #godisable #godissovereign #godislove #blessed
The hands that hold the hammer are the same hands that were pierced for you on the cross.

There is no safer place to place your life than in the hands of Jesus. by @billy.borja

DAY 15

Forged to Be Used

Key Scripture

“But now indeed there are many members, yet one body… Now you are the body of Christ, and members individually.”
1 Corinthians 12:20, 27 (NKJV)

Supporting Scripture

“For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.”
Ephesians 2:10 (NKJV)

Today’s Story

As God continued restoring my life, I began to notice something remarkable. The experiences I once wanted to forget had become opportunities to encourage others.

Conversations with men who were struggling suddenly felt different. I understood their pain because I had lived it. I knew what hopelessness felt like. I knew what it meant to wonder if life could ever change.

What I once considered my greatest weaknesses had become some of God’s greatest tools. That realization changed the way I viewed my past.

Instead of asking,

“Why did I go through all of this?”

I began asking,

“Lord, who can You help because of what You’ve done in my life?”

God doesn’t waste our experiences. He redeems them and uses them to point others toward Jesus Christ. #redeemed #purpose #transformation #faith #love by @billy.borja

DAY 14

Stay Close to the Forge

Key Scripture

“Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in Me.”
John 15:4 (NKJV)

Supporting Scripture

“But his delight is in the law of the Lord, and in His law he meditates day and night. He shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water…”
Psalm 1:2–3 (NKJV)

Today’s Story

One of the greatest lessons I learned after coming to Christ was this:

Transformation doesn’t happen by accident.

When I first began walking with Jesus, I thought the excitement of a new beginning would carry me through every challenge. But I quickly realized that spiritual growth requires intentional choices.

I needed God’s Word every day. I needed prayer. I needed worship. I needed the encouragement of a Bible-believing church. I needed faithful Christian friends who would challenge me, encourage me, and lovingly hold me accountable. These weren’t religious duties. They became lifelines.

Looking back, I can see that the days I drew close to Christ were the days I experienced His peace, His wisdom, and His strength most clearly.

The Master Blacksmith wasn’t finished after rescuing me from the fire.

He invited me to remain close to His forge, where He could continue shaping my life. #faith #hope #love #transfomation #forged by @billy.borja

DAY 13

The Master Sees What You Cannot

Key Scripture

“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.”
2 Corinthians 5:17 (NKJV)

Supporting Scripture

“But now, O Lord, You are our Father; We are the clay, and You our potter; And all we are the work of Your hand.”
Isaiah 64:8 (NKJV)

Today’s Story

When I first gave my life to Christ, I still saw myself through the lens of my past.

I saw the addict.
I saw the homeless man.
I saw the broken relationships.
I saw the failures.

Even though God had forgiven me, I struggled to forgive myself. Then, over time, something began to change.

As I spent time reading God’s Word, praying, and growing in my relationship with Jesus, I realized that God no longer saw me according to who I had been. He saw me according to who I was becoming. That truth changed everything.

My identity was no longer rooted in my worst decisions. It was rooted in Christ.

I wasn’t becoming a new person because I tried harder. I was becoming a new person because Jesus was changing me from the inside out. #newinchrist #faith #hope #love #blessed by @billy.borja
