Lucky You Darling 🍀🥢

I genuinely feel very lucky to have stumbled into this one because this was some of the best Asian food I’ve eaten in a long, long time...

@luckyyoudarling has just landed on Victoria Street in Darlinghurst, led by a chef who is not only seriously creative, but so humble, warm and genuinely excited to share his food with you. You can feel how much thought and passion goes into every dish

We started with these little red pickled tomatoes that were fucking incredible 🍅 I could’ve eaten an entire bowl of them. The steamed crystal prawn & water chestnut dumplings were so good we literally ordered a second serving

But while the entrees were excellent, it was the mains that really shone. The steamed barramundi fillet was delicate and silky, while the XO seafood fried rice was so damn good there wasn’t a grain left. We also smashed the twice-cooked green beans

And then there was the Lucky Gaytime 🤯 deep-fried Gaytime ice cream with biscuit & cornflake crumble and salted caramel sauce. Ridiculous, indulgent and very, very good 🍦

Super creative, seriously delicious Chinese food with a nostalgic thread running through it. Feeling very lucky we got to eat our way through this one 🍀✨
