@bils_memoir 📸 — Much Appreciation! 🤎

BIL and I have been creating alongside each other for years, but Alkaline Festival was different. This was the first time we officially came together as one cohesive media team, and I was genuinely grateful to have him there.

BIL is an incredible creative with a vision that brings another layer to the content we create. His eye, his ideas, and his ability to see how everything can come together are exactly the kind of things I value in a creative partner.

And like he said in his full interview, everything isn’t always going to go exactly as planned—and that’s okay. What matters is staying on our toes, getting the job done, recognizing what worked, and using it to build a better system the next time around.

And BIL … THE WALKIE-TALKIES! 😂📻

I don’t know if you realize it, but those walkie-talkies became an extension of your contribution to this team. The communication, coordination, and energy they brought to our experience allowed us to feel your value throughout the entire event.

Thank you for being part of this, BIL. Thank you for trusting the vision, bringing your creativity, and helping us continue to build.

Y’all will definitely be seeing more of BIL on the media team.

Next time, we’re coming back with an even better product AND an even better system. 🤎📸

📸 BEHIND THE EXPERIENCE: THE MELALENZ AND FRIENDZ MEDIA TEAM📸

In the wellness space, we’re often intentional about celebrating the people who show up and experience the event—but sometimes we forget about the people working behind the scenes to help make that experience possible.

The photographers.
The videographers.
The creatives.
The volunteers.
The vendors sharing their businesses, knowledge, and gifts.
The people who show up simply because they believe in the vision.

This is our opportunity to give the Melalenz and Friendz team their flowers. 🌱📸

From the official team members to the creatives who came out, jumped in, and became Friendz for the day—you all did an amazing job. Every perspective, conversation, photo, video, and moment captured helped tell the story of what the Alkaline Festival truly felt like.

And yes… there’s MORE coming. 👀

We’ll be highlighting the individual creatives, sharing more interviews and content from each member, and the official Alkaline Festival Recap is loading… 🎥🔥

Expected drop: NEXT WEEK.

Because when we say everyone deserves to feel appreciated, we mean everyone—from the front of the experience to the people making it happen behind the scenes.

A great Friend doesn’t always have to be in front of the camera. Sometimes they’re the reason the story gets captured in the first place.

So this one is for the Alkaline Fest Media team—thank you for being great Friendz. ❤️🙏🏾

You deserve to be appreciated in the open, too.

📸 MelaSpendz Wit Friendz through Bil’s lenz!

The man with ALL the gadgets and tools was putting in work! 😂📸 Here are a few vendors and moments he captured at the event.

Definitely go follow @bils_memoir and check out the rest of his photos! We appreciate you being part of the Melalenz📸 team!

This is what the MelaSpendz system is about — creating opportunities for creatives, connecting them with vendors, and building a community where everybody can benefit. 🤝🏾

*No that’s not A.I we really had a rainbow full circle around the sun

More moments. More connections. More Friendz.

Have you Told your Friendz About Melalenz? 👀

It takes a village to tell the story. 📸🎥

Proud to have curated an amazing MEDIA📸 team for the Alkaline Festival. Every photo, every video, and every behind-the-scenes moment happened because of this crew.

Huge thank you to @kurlysoul for jumping in with us every step of the way. It was great meeting you, creating alongside you, and feeding off your positive energy. You brought fresh perspectives, kept morale high, and I hope you’re officially part of the team one day. 🙏🏾

Another special thank you to @vibeconductor_ for stepping in to help capture key moments during the event. Even though you originally came out for one vendor, you were still willing to lend your talent to the team, and we truly appreciate you helping preserve those moments.

Shout out to @bils_memoir for showing up with all the gadgets, Omi’Ava (@shouriteartz )for getting her very first experience behind the camera 📸😂, @raaaaaaaps —a man who honestly deserves his own documentary—and @c_drayton04 , who not only camped for the first time but built genuine connections with vendors through conversations and interviews. Thank you @king__mela for coordinating and curating the MelaSpendz with Friendz system.

We’re truly blessed to be surrounded by people who each bring something unique to the table. This wasn’t just a media team—it was a family creating an experience worth remembering. ❤️🙏🏾

Share the Moments from Your Personal Perspectives and feedback for how You were impacted by the magnitude of this event. Still coming together with the community and despite all the things that failed in stopping it from becoming and continuing on.

Positivity is the focus, give flowers and love and light to those doing the heavy work to ensure it continues even in a moment to pivot and call on the community.

To my queer, trans, and gay kin folk I love You. All. You are sacred. I am so grateful to have been able to share space, learn from enjoy life with, and learn about myself in this life with. May we continue together to keep the love and memoir alive of the life of Marsha P Johnson and the legacy she left behind.
