My dad has moved on to his next great adventure. Leaving behind this world, and welcomed into the next by the loving embrace of his creator.

My dad raised me as a single parent. I grew up in houses that were always under construction. I remember sitting in the garage, watching him work on his motorcycle. Wearing a pink shirt that was stained with black grease; I watched him use his hands to fix everything. He taught me so much, but one of the most important things, was that if you took the time to figure out how something worked, you could easily repair it. Everything could be fixed, it just took time and understanding.

And now, here I am, living in a house that is under construction. Feeling this tremendous loss, like the world has become more empty. but I pick up these tools, and pick up where we left off. Still feeling his guidance, and hearing his voice, and his laugh, in my head. There is always work to be done, it just takes time. Love you, dad. by @binary_pines

Out here in the wild yonder, people often stop me on the street and ask “what instruments do you play?” Or “how many instruments do you play?” Or “do you know if punctuation goes before or after quotations”? And the answer is always the same.

Actually they’re not all the same, cuz those are kinda different questions. The answer is usually “I don’t know” but like, who wants to admit that? by @binary_pines

There was a time where I didn’t have any free time. And now that I find myself with more time, people are like “what do you do with all your free time?” And I guess that’s kind of a loaded question, right? Sometimes I’m succumbing to doom scrolling or falling into a YouTube deep dive of the history of the music behind donkey Kong country. Or sometimes I’m remembering that I have anxiety.

But the good stuff, like the really fun stuff, is when I’m able to dodge all those digital vices and play in my own creative world of sonic discovery. Let all the weirdness out and see where it takes me. ✨🤓✨ by @binary_pines

Proof of vacation. Self-documented. A nostalgic wander through 145-ish streets of ocean city, with some extra credit Delaware coffee.

Took in a healthy dose of kitsch and never touched ocean water once. Saw familiar sights, and mourned the loss of my favorite skatepark, Cloudbreak. I can’t remember the last time I came here on purpose. I have no idea how long that place has been gone.

It’s nice to touch splintered wood and remind myself that some things from my youth are still intact, even though they may be sun bleached and sticky. taken in Ocean City, Maryland by @binary_pines

Dang, y’all. What a crazy trip!! Visited my sister and nephew in Pueblo. Spent a while in Portland; Kellen and I started our own business @thekneverworks. Got to see MAE and @somethingcorporate . Then took the train to Seattle to visit my cousin, where we arcade hopped for an entire day.

Was truly an amazing journey. Couldn’t think of a better way of celebrating my 35th year on this planet.
