Job Done!! Last stage all in effort from @craig.oliverxc and @beno_oliver to get 4th on the stage and climbing the GC to 8th overall.

What a huge week from the boys and so stoked to see them finish strongly despite everything thrown at them

Really cool to see them so fizzed at that last stage effort. Certainly finished on a high.

Worth mentioning the efforts from @benjamin_the_henjamin to keep the wheels turning. A tiny team up against it but doing NZ and the fern proud.

The morning ritual - more stories from behind the scenes - and a wrap up of another big effort on the bike. 88km and 2550m of climbing but this time cooler in rain and mud.

Legend result with the boys finishing 6th on stage and climbing to 10th on GC. One more big fight on the last stage to go.

The Queen stage - epic amount of climbing over 98km for the lads - and conditions cooler with some rain and peanut butter mud keeping things spicy for the lads.

Massive effort saw them running around top 10 all day with a sprint finish seeing them finish stage 12th. And another puncture for Craig with a big nail lodged in tyre. Still holding 14th and time gained back on teams in front.

Two more big hilly stages to go!!

Day 5 - Stage 4 update and the Adventure of Cape Epic delivered a few challenges for the lads out on course with some metal puncturing Craig's tyre in multiple places after only 6km of the 80 odd km stage.

Overall they dropped about 10minutes, but finished strong. Have slipped a few places on GC, but the next stage is epic - 98km and 2850m of vertical climbing so plenty of opportunities for the lads to did deep and make a bit of time back as they finished in good spirits and Ben reporting they ate really enjoying the event and trails.

A bit of behind the scenes as Craig and Ben deal with the brutal heat of South Africa on Cape Epic.

The stage for day 4 was shortened to 78km due to the extreme heat 38-40degC on course. The boys were up in the front groups for much of the day holding their own.

Rolling over the line in 11th, and moving up a place to 12th on GC was the result for the day.
