Emergence: Festival of Future Cities at @sunaparanta_goa

Over three days, from 29 to 31 October, Sunaparanta Goa Centre for the Arts will host exhibitions, arcades and workshops exploring climate change, multispecies coexistence, ecological futures, climate careers, and more.

From exploring Panjim’s possible futures through games and making the impacts of heat visible to spending time together understanding wetlands, join us for three days of reimagining what the future holds for small and mid-sized cities like Panjim.

Biopod+Co. is returning to the Cambridge Science Carnival with the Biopod Living Lab- an interactive space to explore how nature can help us rewild urban spaces and restore our waterways.🌊

Come get hands-on with a living Biopod, design your own ecosystem with the Biopod Configurator, and contribute to a collaborative community scroll that will grow into a local ecosystem-inspired art installation.
Reconnecting with nature doesn’t always start in a remote wilderness. Sometimes, it begins right in our own backyard! Let’s reimagine what our cities could look like when guided by nature’s intelligence. 🌱

Earlier this summer, we deployed a biopod installation at Roosevelt Lake; it has spent the last couple of months taking root in its new home. As part of Design Week RI (@designxri), we invite you to step into an active project site and experience ecological design at full scale!

Led by Biopod+Co., participants will be guided through the site and learn how each module works as a living system. You can examine water samples, plant conditions, and document your observations through hands-on exercises. Our mission? To make sure you feel confident in the design and science to restore wetlands in your neighborhood - register today!

Inspired by the wetlands of 𝘼𝙢𝙘𝙝𝙚𝙢 𝙂𝙤𝙚𝙢, the exhibition brings together science, design, ecological storytelling, and material exploration, inviting us to look at nature not merely as something to preserve, but as a source of knowledge, resilience, regeneration, and innovation.
