I’ve been a Gina Gionfriddo super fan since I saw US Drag in 2007. She has been a playwriting inspiration to me since I first moved to New York and worked for her agent. Her plays are smart, funny, deep and unafraid to look at humanity without guardrails. She’s also a beautiful, generous person. I am so thrilled BECKY SHAW is finally having its Broadway run and that I snuck my way into the opening (just like I did back in the day when it first premiered at 2ST). Congrats Gina! You are an icon. ⭐️ by @birdabroad

In 2010 I had my first ever Hollywood meeting as a writer, no pressure it was w/ MPK 😳 He had two costumes in his bungalow - Carrie’s tutu and Valerie’s tracksuit - I lost my shit when I saw Aunt Sassy - and asked the one and only MPK to take a picture of me with it ! At our meeting. He loved that I wanted the pic with Aunt Sassy and not Carrie. (The Comeback was still pretty cult back then). Not anymore!! Welcome Back Valerie !
