Love, Theoretically by Ali Hazelwood is becoming a movie! 🧡💕📖🎬

What scene or quote do you need in the movie? 💭

Ali is teaming up with Amazon MGM Studios again before! This news comes just in the heels of the teaser trailer for The Love Hypothesis dropping this weekend, so it’s safe to say this is good working relationship and I love that her universe is living under the same roof! Olive and Adam cameo?? 👀

Next up from Magic Hour!

The excitement we have for LOVE, THEORETICALLY is not at all theoretical! We’re incredibly grateful to partner with Amazon MGM Studios and to work again with the brilliant Sofia Alvarez. It’s a privilege and joy to continue to collaborate with Lauren Levine and Colleen Hoover at Heartbones. Most of all, the film we hope you’ll fall in love with exists because of the immense talent and imagination of Ali Hazelwood. 🧬❤️🧪

I’ve always been asked about the story behind the username of my account, and today, after so long, I feel like talking about it…
Back in 2017, I read a book called Along for the Ride by Sarah Dessen! a true comfort read stayed with me. I loved the way it was written and related so deeply to the character of Auden; she still remains my favourite character.
I’m a reader, and I usually don’t find novel based movies doing justice to the actual books but when the film adaptation came out in 2022, I watched it because of the impression the book had left on me. I think this is the first novel based movie where I truly felt they had done justice to the story. The cinematography, the characters, the flow of the storyline everything felt so in sync. Even the background musical score somehow matched the imaginative tunes that played in my head while reading the book, which is very rare.
Now, about Auden I have never related to any character the way I related to her. The social anxiety, the lack of emotional expression, being introverted and doing things on her own, the childhood trauma, and even those little but important childhood memories like not being taught how to ride a bike… all of it fit like pieces of a puzzle.
And this movie basically inspired me to make an anonymous Instagram account. It feels symbolic like my own “Auden moment” stepping a little outside my comfort zone, allowing myself to be seen, but still on my own terms. Her arc is about learning to let go, trust others, embrace spontaneity, and actually live her youth.
The main lead, @epasarow did beyond justice to the character of Auden. I’m still so in love with her portrayal, even today.
Lately, my feed has been so full of @belmontcameli that it triggered memories of long gone years, and me being the nostalgic person that I couldn’t resist writing about it and romanticising the beautiful work they did back in 2022.
That’s actually the story behind my Instagram account! a pretty thoughtful origin, I’d say.
