5-26-26 The guys and I went out for bowfin on @precision_860 Birthday and we all hooked up on multiple bowfin with a total of 8 LANDED! Can’t thank @precision_860 enough because we all got a birthday present that day!

Bowfin are one of North America’s oldest surviving fish species — basically living fossils that have been around since before the dinosaurs went extinct. They can breathe air, survive in nasty low-oxygen water, and can stay alive out of water for several hours if their skin and gills stay wet. 5-24-26 Wild brown trout aren’t native to Connecticut — they were brought over from Europe by hatchery like Kensico Hatchery in the late 1800s and stocked into rivers and streams.
