If you see ICE in your community and you are in a position to safely do so, call one of these numbers and tell them what you saw. Try to remember details as best as you can, take notes even. Do so with urgency.

These community-run networks provide legal assistance and long term support to immigrants who may be impacted.

Remember, if an ICE “agent” engages with you, you do NOT have to speak to them. You have the right to remain silent. Do not answer any questions, do not explicitly lie to them. You have the right to request a lawyer. Do not sign anything, do not go anywhere with them. Please do not present any falsified documents to them.

We have to ask ourselves now, how will we keep each other safe?

Immigrants are the backbone of the strong, beautiful state of California. We are not losing our people without a fight. by @birdmilk.jpeg

A couple months ago I smooched a stranger on the dancefloor and now all my current selfies happen to include my nose scrunched against his cheek. 🙈💕 by @birdmilk.jpeg

We traveled almost 3000 miles so Forest could see his hero Jules Naudet’s camera in real life. (We didn’t go to the Knicks parade, but the Knicks parade did go to us.) by @birdmilk.jpeg

Like clockwork, the sun pops out and I start to look and feel like myself again. Looking forward to 105 degree weather, lugging a backpack full of sandy beers around and wearing a swimsuit under every outfit ✨just in case.✨ by @birdmilk.jpeg

Here’s a stream of unedited photos of my 34 year old face. I like my smiling lines and I hope I get to see some of yours, too. by @birdmilk.jpeg

The year of rescuing puppies and repairing vintage cameras was pretty sweet. Let’s see what 12 brings. 🎬✨ (the music runs out at the end of the video, I wasn’t put on this earth to make “content.” I was put on this earth to party.) by @birdmilk.jpeg
