2025 - you were a year 🙃 I can’t say I’m sad to see you go, but I sure am grateful for all the small pockets of joy that filled in the cracks.

✨Grateful ✨
For all the live music that fed my soul
For dance parties in the apartment with my husband
For every night out (or in) with my beautiful friends
For core memories with family that I’ll cherish forever
For every time my creative spark lit a fire in me
For my crazy, silly, precious kitties
For finding and cultivating community

Here’s hoping 2026 brings more of this, and then some.

Happy NYE everyone ✨

2024, you’ve been a doozy. You placed obstacles in my path that were unexpected and challenging, but also gave me the tools to navigate them as they came along, making me more skilled, knowledgeable, and better for each hurdle cleared.

One of the best highlights of the year? Moving back to Midtown with Mikey in our very own place! We had always talked about getting our own spot with no roommates, just the two of us, but this year it finally became a reality and it’s been the most fun, challenging, rewarding chapter of our marriage so far. It may not be a luxury condo or a house in the 40s, but we’ve made this little apartment a cozy place to land after a long day at work and in the few months we’ve been here, it really feels like our home. It helps that the cats love it too :)

Another big highlight of 2024 was getting hired as a bridal stylist at Brides For A Cause! It has been such a gift being a part of this incredible non-profit organization. Knowing that I’m helping brides find the dress of their dreams while also giving back to women not only in my own community, but across the country brings me a renewed sense of purpose and fulfillment that I didn’t realize I needed. With tragedy and fear and hopelessness taking up so much space this year, being more involved in something that does so much good has helped to spark a little light in the darkness.

This year was one of prioritizing my health and taking it seriously, but also finding balance so that I can still enjoy my life while figuring out the puzzle that is my chronic illness. I didn’t go to as many concerts with Mikey as I have in past years, but I made the absolute most of the ones I did (no way in hell was I missing Red Rocks or Avril!) I had to take more days at home resting, but it gave me energy to spend more quality time with my friends. Sure, there were a lot of tears, anxiety, frustration, even anger; but there were also so many laughs, hugs, celebrations, and especially lots of love.

I’m not sure what 2025 will bring, but if this year has taught me anything, it’s to embrace your community and the people you love most. Here’s to weathering another year together 🥂
