This Sunday, we’re teaming up with our friends at @dallaschildrenstheater for an interactive reading of Naked Mole Rat Gets Dressed, plus a family ticket giveaway to celebrate their new show, Naked Mole Rat Gets Dressed: The Rock Experience.

The rest of the month brings a fall craft, a pigeon’s birthday party, and a visit from illustrator Kaitlin Oesterreicher to close things out. We’ll see you on the rug! by @birdsbookstore

Can you picture it? We sure can. Grab your costumes or jammies and join us next Friday for a seasonal movie night screening “Hocus Pocus” (a classic!). Sharing these iconic films with your families makes our hearts very full and this one feels especially important.

Your $15 ticket includes popcorn, candy, and a drink, with concessions from our friends at @adhoc_co and @seashackcandyco. BYOBX2 (blanket + boo-ze!) encouraged, and parents fly free. Grab your tickets at the link in bio. by @birdsbookstore

We’re two weeks away from the start of Partners Card, and we’re excited to be back as a retailer this year. From October 23rd through November 1st, show your card and get 20% off all books and select paper goods.

100% of every card purchase goes to The Family Place to support survivors of family violence. Visit the link in bio to purchase your card so you’re ready to start your holiday shopping. by @birdsbookstore

Our staff’s favorite way to lose sleep. From lake zombies and haunted dolls to gothic mysteries and slow-building dread, the Bird’s team pulled their go-to reads for spooky season. Pick your poison and come find them on our shelves. by @birdsbookstore

New vendors have landed and we are not ok! Hand-drawn bird bowls from Brooklyn, sterling silver book jewels, feather bookmarks, watercolor kits, and the phone strap you’ve all been asking about. More flying in over the next few weeks! by @birdsbookstore

Between Freida McFadden, Philippa Gregory, and a Stephen King and Peter Straub reunion, spooky season is well covered this month. There’s also new Kingsolver, new Bonnie Garmus, and, yes, ACOTAR #6. Plus a stack of cookbooks now that it’s finally cooled down. Including a special one from our bff Ina! by @birdsbookstore

We’re in an Austen mood. To celebrate the new Sense and Sensibility with @FocusFeatures, we’ve got two limited-edition drinks in the cafe October 4th–10th.

Elinor’s Earl Grey: a London Fog with Earl Grey, steamed whole milk, and vanilla.

Marianne’s Mocha Spice: mocha, fall spice, a pinch of salt, and steamed vanilla milk (A bit more dramatic)

Grab one, then take a look at our Sense and Sensibility-inspired book display while you’re here. @SenseSensibilityFilm is in theaters October 16th and we can’t wait.

Bird’s of a feather! We’ve teamed up with our friends at @warbyparker to celebrate the reopening of their NorthPark store, because good frames and a good book were always meant to flock together.

This Saturday, 10/3, buy two pairs of frames and take home a free Blind Date with a Book. Buy one pair and get a free drink in our café. Then all October long, any Warby Parker purchase gets you 10% off a book at Bird’s. by @birdsbookstore
