What a night!!❤️💖🌈🌹🙏🙏🙏🙏
Thank you to all the people who came,we had a full house ,everyone invested their best intentions to support the worthy cause of the @royalmarsden ,and contributed to make this a successful evening!!4 encores had been requested!
My musical support was as ever the brilliant @phil lee thomas ,who merged from wild and unpredictable Wilma into a suave and beautiful gentleman baritone 🌈❤️@christaylor guides the ship excellently through some stormy weathers and never looses control,@berdin is our guitar player with great style and aplomb,but we are also celebrating friendship and the same goes for the audience ,who is with us for many years,friends,family ,people from different backgrounds who always get on amazingly .❤️
I am supporting the marsden for many years,candle for a life ,or singing in the chapel ,but since being diagnosed now twice with breast cancer ,I really learned first hand about the care ,expertise and empathy the marsden is providing🙏🫶
I met patients ,we connected and we will be friends for life,the Camino walk organised by the hospital will be another step up to raise funds,awareness.
On the 14.th we will walk,Phil is with me,I brace myself,but I only can give my best.

I can’t get tired of depicting our beautiful spot in Corfu,there maybe the same fotos year by year,but each time your view changes,deepens ,the routine of doing the same things in this beautiful surroundings gives me stability and grounding.
Walking from San Stephanos to Kerasia is as rewarding as the time before.you may struggle on the way back,very steep uphill ,but we both managed ,each day ,David with much energy and resilience puts every younger person at shame..
Well I started to train for the Camino before our departure,but gave myself a break (apart of the daily walk)as well did not teach online ,just a gentle yogapractise for myself and a little vocal practise for my upcoming fundraiser concert .
The Ionian Sea carries the best energy ,healing your wounds and soothes your soul. This first dip into the water never loses its effect:ahh ,I arrived!❤️🙏🌈#gratitude#corfu #healing#greekhospitality#love by @birgitbeer

Yesterday I was asked why I posted a few weeks ago a unflattering foto of myself ,showing my new short hair,after having removed my interlace hairpiece..As I shared my journey ,the vanity disappears if you are facing cancer,and my former performer self was always in the “smile and look as good as possible” mode ..this journey taught me to accept myself as I am ,and I could have continued to camouflage by disguising my regrowing hair with this hairpiece but I opted for my real hair,as it’s growing strong ,reflecting my own journey and the start of a new life full of hope,sometimes fear as cancer brings this uncertainty of never knowing what will happen,but also appreciating every day and making the most of it.
becoming ill had taught me many lessons ,for which I am grateful.
Grateful for life at the present moment#breastcancerwarrior #love
