So sometimes the solution isn't explaining yourself louder.

Maybe you’re not lacking ambition.

Sometimes we call that “being realistic” when really, we’re just scared of thinking bigger than our current environment.

Mads has 14,000+ connections on LinkedIn. You'd never guess he's deeply introverted.

It took him 15 years to feel comfortable smiling.

Smiling comes easily to Anni and Shivani or to most people. It took Mads years of deliberate practice to feel comfortable doing it.

We look at successful people and think: they've got it easy. What we don't see is the internal work and the years spent gaining mastery over themselves before they ever gained mastery over anything else.

For Mads, that mastery was human behaviour. His genuine love for people pushed him straight through his introverted nature. Watching people grow beyond their circumstances is what gives him joy.
