Hot take on @getsudsy first fight experience in the pit. Becoming a pit viper will demand training in the pit. Coaches, what’s your take?? 🤔

This is why we never give up. 💪🏼

This match will go down in history as one of my favorites of my career. Not because I displayed flawless technical prowess, not because I came out and dominated, but because I refused to give up.

I was beyond tired in this match. I spent much of it fighting out of bad positions, and I remember feeling like I had nothing left to give. I wanted it to be over. However, I don’t train to quit. Also, this was a team event and it wasn’t just my loss or victory at stake. If I lost, my whole team would be knocked out of the bracket. I can’t tell you what a feeling of relief and joy washed over me when this match was done.

I obviously have a lot to work on, but I owe much of my technical growth over the past couple of years to the exceptional technical instruction at @5050academy . I have grown in so many ways, not just in Jiu-Jitsu, and I am exceedingly grateful for that and for the people who helped me along the way. 🙏🏼

“Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall; but those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.”

Very proud of these gentlemen for an excellent performance today at the @bjj_nga Blue Belt Quintet! They were dynamic, technical, highly adaptive, and dominant all day on their quest to take the 🏆 and $3500 home!

Shout out to @pach_iiiiii for a fine performance and working hard to put together a great team for the event. He reached out to two friends from @brabo_academy down in Virginia Beach to round out the squad and they both clocked in with fantastic performances all day.

Last but not least, huge shout out to @m_dawk2x for coming in and anchoring both the semifinal and final bouts with two absolutely dominant matches to secure the bag for the squad.

All told, an excellent day on the mats! 🤠
