What does it take to become legendary? ⚡️

It takes more than talent.
More than one player.
More than one team.

Introducing MYTHOS VOLLEYBALL — the organization behind the Jersey City Sirens @jcsirens_vla and Brooklyn Titans @bktitans_vla , built on a belief that our greatest strength will always be collective.

Two teams. One standard.
Rooted in the NY/NJ Tri-State.

This is bigger than the name on the jersey.
This is about how we compete, how we grow and what we build together.

COLLECTIVE STRENGTH.
COMPETE WITH PURPOSE.
BE LEGENDARY.

WE ARE MYTHOS. ⚡️🏐

17 years in the game — and still finding new ways to leave her mark on it.

Meet Kelly Hayes, General Manager of Mythos Volleyball Organization.

Now entering her second VLA season, Kelly returns to the court after serving as a team captain and Social Media Manager last season — now adding General Manager to the mix while continuing to compete. She’s no stranger to the adult volleyball scene, spending the last decade competing anywhere and everywhere she could find a court.

A collegiate outside hitter and libero turned post-college setter, Kelly was a four-year starter at the NCAA Division II level for Post University before extending her love of the game to the sidelines. She has coached throughout the GEVA club scene, most recently serving as an assistant coach with GSE’s 17s and 15s Premier teams.

Simply put: the game runs in her blood.

But Kelly brings a different kind of game to the front office, too.

With an MBA in Sports Management & Marketing from Seton Hall, she has built a career in experiential marketing, producing work for brands including Jordan, Nike and Nasdaq — and was named to the 2026 BizBash 40 Under 40.

At Mythos, Kelly leads the business behind the volleyball: marketing, partnerships, social media and organizational administration — building the infrastructure, visibility and opportunities that allow the athletes and volleyball operations team to focus on the court.

17 years around the game.
A decade across the adult volleyball scene.
And now, a new seat at the table.

Welcome to the front office, GM.

15 years on the sidelines. A career built across levels, leagues and continents. And a vision for what comes next.

Meet Gary Preston Jr., Owner, President & Head of Volleyball Operations for Mythos Volleyball Organization.

A former collegiate setter and captain at New Jersey City University, Gary has coached men’s and women’s volleyball across the club, NCAA Division I, II and III, AND international levels — building a career rooted in competition, development and creating opportunities for athletes beyond the court.

Currently the Head Men’s and Women’s Volleyball Coach at Pratt Institute, Gary also works with Sportlinx 360 and Gold Medal Squared. His coaching résumé spans years of professional coaching experience overseas, stateside conference championships, NCAA Tournament appearances, a Division III Elite Eight run and, most recently, the 2025 NJISAA Prep “B” State Championship with Rutgers Prep.

In his first VLA season, Gary coached the organization to three event wins and an 18th-place finish at Nationals.

The vision for Mythos was born from Gary’s time overseas, where he saw female athletes competing at a professional level while building equally successful careers beyond the court. That duality became part of the foundation for Mythos: creating a place where athletes don’t have to choose between pursuing the game and pursuing what comes next.

At Mythos, Gary leads all things Volleyball Operations — from recruiting and coaching to player development and the competitive vision behind the Jersey City Sirens and Brooklyn Titans.

The vision started with him. Now, we build the Mythos.
