Re-introducing my slam persona after a twenty or so year hiatus. Thank you @thepeoplespoets for the safe room and supportive crowd to share with.
Now to get off book with 15 more pieces.

A treasure created for my dear sibling @ashidanca
Last year he created a piece presented at Shaking The Tree Theater called The Poppy People. The textile is the repurposed scenic backdrop which he painted using soil, clay, and various reclaimed textile inks.
The process of making art from art waste to become fine garments is such a beautiful story arc to me.
Final slide shows the painting process in my art space Aych.Queue during the summer of 2025.

I hope to make more garments and accessories from reclaimed scenic elements. If you have a production that has closed and have scenic textiles you don't know what to do with please let me know.
And if you want to take home a piece of the rich tapestry our local theater community let me know.

Working on a new rehab for an old building.
There were some surprises along the way but nothing insurmountable.
Everyday I wake grateful that I can be doing this work I love. Supporting the needs of my community while having more ability to dictate how and when I work allows space for art and love while taking care of my two kiddos an aging mother and too many pets.
