Our niece Sydney's 4th birthday party, quality time with family, friends, chosen family. Bbqs, potlucks, coffee dates. Road trip to celebrate Chelsea and Dev's union. Sharing exciting news and being met with all the support and tender care that you could hope for.  My heart is full ! And despite it all, mine is truly a lush life bursting with love. I don't take even a moment of it for granted.

Hughes Community Garden - @dontshootpdx the request - build a garden gate that refects the beauty of the garden and the community who stewards it.. #crafstmanship #portlandoregon #communitylove #blackbusinessowner a chain link gate was the access point. the person pointing was our liason Dan from @pdxfoodforest showing us where the door should be. little touches of whimsy. like this small block of wood showing which side the door opens from. attention to detail - we routed recesses for the cedar pickets on the gate to sit flush against the frame on the rim. hand finishes leaving it better than we arrived. every time. follow @dontshootpdx and @pdxfoodforest for ways to get involved.

I wonder what this young man was like. Would we have been friends? I hope his adventure was a good one and that his heart is at peace. A decade since he’s been gone. A decade filling the vacuum of his presence… getting closer to understanding how all of this adds up in the end.
