Trash Humpers is a 2009 American experimental black comedy film written and directed by Harmony Korine. Shot on worn VHS home video,
the film features a loser-gang culy-freak collective engaging in bizarre and destructive behavior on the streets of Nashville, Tennessee.

Skunk is a highly acclaimed and raw Flemish youth care drama from 2023, directed by Koen Mortier. The film is based on the 2015 novel of

Souvenir, 2020–2026 is a series of three automated theatre plays: Souvenir, Hierophant and Eidolon. Throughout the trilogy, the character Souvenir moves through a coming-of-age story that explores adolescence, belonging, memory and the ways in which understanding changes over time.

In these plays, animatronic figures, sound, lighting and moving images are coordinated through automated systems. This approach to theatre stems from a personal need to externalize, isolate and reflect on significant life events in a context that feels private and complete. What follows is a concatenation of gloomy epiphanies, portrayed by Souvenir through prose and various kinetic elements.

For the first time ever, the trilogy will be presented in full, marking the end of a six-year-long working period defined by morose introspection and an earnest attempt to find a way forward. taken in Villa de Bank by @blackbrickunderground

We’re inviting artists working at the intersection of digital culture, new media and performance to apply for a two-month funded residency. We’re looking for someone curious and experimental, who is open to collaboration, exchange and engaging with Enschede’s local cultural scene.

Over the past few months, I’ve been working on the preliminary research for How to Live with the Edge of Falling. The project continues a research branch I started with my graduation project Morphing Landscapes, looking at seismic activity as a natural phenomenon and at the different ways it can influence our lives. This time, I focus specifically on precarity - how it becomes a condition of life and can be embodied through sound in the development of a sonic installation that encourages audience intervention.

In this Open Work-in-Progress, I will share some discoveries from my theoretical and technological research, as well as the experiment I have been developing throughout the process.

The evening will start with a 20min show-and-tell, where I will introduce the research and the current state of the project. After that, I’ll continue staying with my work and be open to conversations and feedback. Feel free to drop by and talk to me! :)

Hello fellow cow enthusiasts, dedicatees and casual enjoyers!

After some much needed radio silence and time away to reflect after our most recent magazine launch in the spring, we have returned!

This last year was a year of new offshoots and budding ideas for us. Our residency at BlackBrick made it possible to begin hosting more COMMA Sessions alongside our yearly themed magazine release/exhibition.

We had the opportunity to work and shake our grey matter with many amazing collaborators. As events, the COMMA Sessions function as a way to provide an explorative platform for artistic research. A warm thanks and a lifetime’s supply of hot-milk-with-honey before-bedtime for @sfadoresyou @s.henselmans @collective_irritation @havva_malyalizade @zara_lall for sharing their practice!

And an extra serving of whipped cream on top for Jacco Borggreve (@jborggreve) and BlackBrick for their consistent feedback and guidance.

We also celebrated the launch of this year's magazine, Dissonance! On the evening of the 14th of May, as the shadows thrown by the spring sun grew longer, the Dissonance contributors gathered together to discuss their work in two live panel sessions + a live acoustic interlude.
