In Focus: Stacy Ike @onetakestace

She is that girl.

Global storyteller. Entertainment journalist. Red carpet host. Creative strategist.

She’ll tell you she wears a lot of hats, but if you know Stacy, you know the real throughline is human connection.

From the red carpet to her podcast @human2humanwithstacyike , she has a way of making conversations feel real, thoughtful, and grounded.

And this awards season? She’s been everywhere.
Golden Globes. Grammys. NAACP Image Awards. Essence Black Women in Hollywood. Oscars Luncheon.

Tomorrow she’s back on the carpet for the Oscars.

Last night we closed out the year with a cozy holiday soiree at Offhand Wine Bar — and it was everything.
Huge thank you to @offhandwinebar for hosting us. The wine was great, the conversation was even better, and our blind book exchange was a total hit. 📚💫
Thank you to everyone who came out and poured into the space with your presence and your energy.
See you in 2026. 🖤

BLACK WOMEN. BLACK STORIES. BLACK WRITERS.
We’re so proud to spotlight two powerhouse writers from our community — Kimberly Ndombe (Sorry for Your Loss, Raising Dion, Netflix’s Forever) and Autumn Joy Jimerson (Queen Sugar, Swagger, Shrinking, Netflix’s Forever).

These women are shaping the stories we see on screen, bringing depth, heart, and authenticity to Black characters and Black love. Storytelling matters. Representation matters. Let’s show up, support, and amplify Black women behind the pen.

Watch Forever now on Netflix and celebrate the voices behind the scenes!

Yasmin and I are friends and colleagues who share a passion for uplifting Black voices in TV and film. We’ve turned our passion into an art organization called Black Creatives in Focus. A few weeks ago, we hosted our first event, a “Roses and Rosé” themed picnic for Black female TV writers and executives. It was not only an absolute vibe but also a beautiful success!

We came together to connect, inspire, and support each other, and it was just the beginning. This picnic marked the start of our mission to build a tight-knit community of black female professionals dedicated to making a difference in the industry.

Check out the highlights and follow @blackcreativesinfocus as we amplify Black voices and make a real impact. 🎥: @adam.reforzo
