“Huge congratulations to Paul Tazewell on his historic Oscar win for Wicked! 🏆✨ When Paul joined me on STOPTIME: Live in the Moment back in 2022, he was actually on his way to the Academy Awards for West Side Story—and now, he’s made history as the first Black man to win for Best Costume Design!

Paul is a creative force behind some of the most iconic productions—Hamilton, The Color Purple, Wicked, West Side Story—and in our conversation, he shared so much wisdom about trusting the creative process and stepping into possibility.

Here’s a moment from our episode that still resonates today. Watch this… and don’t forget to check out the full episode!” 🎧✨🎧 Listen to the full conversation! Link in bio.

Yasmin and I are friends and colleagues who share a passion for uplifting Black voices in TV and film. We’ve turned our passion into an art organization called Black Creatives in Focus. A few weeks ago, we hosted our first event, a “Roses and Rosé” themed picnic for Black female TV writers and executives. It was not only an absolute vibe but also a beautiful success!

We came together to connect, inspire, and support each other, and it was just the beginning. This picnic marked the start of our mission to build a tight-knit community of black female professionals dedicated to making a difference in the industry.

Check out the highlights and follow @blackcreativesinfocus as we amplify Black voices and make a real impact. 🎥: @adam.reforzo
