I am excited to announce a new endeavor taking place in Toronto:

The Blackhurst Project!

With my co-collaborators @neilarmstrongreports and Itah Sadu, through their affiliation with the @blackhurstcc and @adifferentbooklist_, we have developed a Project to bring together scholars, artists, writers, and the public toward the cultivation of black thought in this current sociopolitical moment—think of it, so to speak, as a think tank. The inaugural event for this monthly series kicks off next Thursday, October 8, 2026 at 6p featuring @thephlnegro (@yale) to discuss his book, Inhabitants of the Deep: The Blueness of Blackness (@dukeuniversitypress).

We wholeheartedly welcome your attendance so please see the registration link in my bio; and be on the lookout for our next guest in November—issa surprise!—and for information about both future guests and opportunities for your work to be a part of the Project.

Until then and more soon . . . by @blackhurstcc
