A few months ago, I was invited by @hypnosis.om to perform in Muscat, Oman. To mark the occasion, I created a special track—“Hypnosis”—which I played during my set. Now, the track is officially out via @thunderstruck.records, and it’s making waves!

I’m rarely mixing in a perfectly treated studio.

Most of the time, I’m on the road, working from different rooms, different headphones, and different environments.

And when you’re working like that, translation becomes everything.

Because nobody is listening to your Afro House track in your studio.

They’re listening in the car.
On AirPods.
At the gym.
Through a Bluetooth speaker.
On their phone.

If your monitoring isn’t telling you the truth, every mix decision becomes a guess.

So for my latest Afro House project, I decided to put Realphones 2 by @dsoniq_realphones to the test.

I’ve used different ways of checking translation over the years, and back in my early days I would spend hours exporting versions, switching between headphones and speakers, checking references, and trying to predict how everything would translate.

It was great ear training , but it was also incredibly time-consuming.

This is where Realphones 2 fits into my workflow.

It corrects the frequency response of 200+ headphone models, while going beyond simple EQ with crossfeed and room-acoustics simulation.

So instead of just hearing a corrected pair of headphones, I can create a much more realistic monitoring environment and quickly check how my mix behaves from different perspectives.

For me, that’s especially useful when I’m producing on the road or working somewhere without a properly treated studio.

It doesn’t replace good ears or good decisions , it gives me a more reliable way to make those decisions.

And that’s ultimately what matters: not how amazing your mix sounds in one perfect environment, but how well it survives everywhere else.

Big respect to the DSONIQ team for building something that solves a very real problem for modern producers.

Hope You Are Happy

Some goodbyes don’t happen because love disappears.

Sometimes people leave because two paths were never meant to become one.

The pain is real.
The memories are real.
The healing takes time.

But one day you look back and realize…

What broke your heart was also what set you free.

This track is about acceptance, letting go without hate, remembering without pain, and wishing the best for those who are no longer part of your story.

No hard feelings.
No regrets.

Just…

Hope You Are Happy.

👏 CLAPPY CLAPPERSON EP 👏

Some producers obsess over melodies.

Some obsess over basslines.

For us, sometimes it’s the claps.

The tiny details nobody notices…
until they’re missing.

This is the first glimpse of our upcoming EP.

3 tracks.
3 stories.
3 different states of mind.
