At our Black Women New Jersey Pink Tribe Brunch, we shared a beautiful and powerful moment. Each sister gave another sister a flower and spoke words of love, encouragement, and affirmation over her life. 🌹

It was a reminder that we don’t have to wait for a special occasion to celebrate, uplift, and appreciate one another. Give your sisters their flowers while they are here to receive them! 💐

It’s so surreal listening back because everything we envisioned came to life! 🥹💕 We laughed, we cried, we vibed, and most importantly, created genuine connections and beautiful new bonds!

This morning, I woke up reflecting on what has been a very heavy week for me.

Then I saw a beautiful message from one of our Essex County Tribe sisters in the community group. She spoke about love, support, and offered to treat two sisters from her Tribe to lunch. It reminded me that there is so much love inside this community.

So many of us are carrying personal things that nobody else may see. Sometimes all a woman needs is an extra hug, a check-in, a kind word, or simply to know that somebody cares.

That is what the Tribe is about. Making sure our sisters are good. Creating space for the real-life conversations, the support, and the small acts of kindness that can mean everything to someone.

So whenever I wonder if we are truly making a difference, I will remember moments like this.
