Life lately. Through the ups and downs, stressful days and late nights, this is my reminder that this is what it’s all about. The pockets of joy shared with the ones we hold close to our hearts 😌 by @blakecairrao

From the place of deals and dealings, passed the resting place of the DICT PERPETVO, up the “main” road connecting the people to holy temples, through the arch which has been copied due to its brilliance, and into the colossal amphitheater of sand. The ruins of Ancient Rome hold an untold wealth of knowledge within the marble & limestone used in its construction. This knowledge nearly lost forever, is now preserved and may give a glimpse into our future.

Referenced & shown are: the Foro Romano (Roman Forum), the tomb of Julius Caesar (perpetual dictator and martyr for the destruction of the Roman Republic), the Via Sacra (Sacred Way), the Arci do Tito (named after the exemplary emperor Titus), the remnants of the Temple of Venus and Rome, and of course, the gladiatorial main stage, the Colosseo (or it’s skeletal remains at least) taken in Roma, Italia by @blakecairrao

The world’s smallest country, the Vatican City. Featured are parts of the Vatican Museums, St. Peter’s Basilica (walked the 1000+ stairs to the dome and back down), and the Piazza San Pietro (Plaza of St. Peter). Did take a few moments within the Sistine Chapel but they don’t allow photos or talking. taken in Vatican City, Rome, Italy by @blakecairrao

Rouen is a city filled with history and breathtaking architecture. Featured are the Notre-Dame cathedral of Rouen where Jeanne d’Arc was held during her trial and subsequent execution, the Aitre Saint Maclou, and the Saint Maclou church. No pics of the inside of the Notre-Dame out of respect. The Seine was absolutely gorgeous too taken in Rouen Normandie by @blakecairrao
