Great to see @spaceshaper and his team renewing the planting in Gordon Street now it's cooler. These plants will still need plenty of watering for six months or more to establish them. Hopefully a lot of that will be from rain but the weather is so unpredictable these days. by @blanche.cameron

A lovely start to the new teaching year at UCL with a whole new bunch of brilliant passionate thoughtful caring MLA Y1 @bartlett_landscape students. Thank you @alicefarls - Architect and also brilliant Bartlettarchucl Tutor on @bartlett.ais and other programmes - at @globalgeneration for showing us round the new Triangle Site on York Way. Volunteer on Thursday evenings Twilight workshops!

Then through the newer, less subtle and personal, the over irrigated green grass parks of commercial and housing developments to CSM, Granary Square and Coal Drops Yard, and along @dunnett.nigel's planting to @camleystreet natural park designed for the long term by #GaryGrant in the 1980s, I'll never forget Gary telling how he found the beautiful gates about to be skipped from the then new kings Cross st Pancras development and got them saved and used for the entrance to this gorgeous wild space.

Managed beautifully by @wild_london London Wildlife Trust. We're so lucky to live in a city with natural havens, oases, places for people and wildlife like these. by @blanche.cameron

Join us on September 24th for a full day of conversations and celebration with some amazing people.

The morning session will follow an “un-conference” style in Senate House, Bloomsbury, where you can bring your experiences and ideas, and hear from others.

The afternoon sessions will start with a tour of the Scarlett Westbrook Garden, followed by a conversation on Student Net-gain back at Senate House: “how can students and other communities be empowered to take action?”

After that, a celebration in the garden at 5pm!!

See eventbrite for more details.
