There are parties, and there’s PANGEA… ✨

Prepping for this set felt like solving a puzzle. I’m typically very intentional about my choices when it comes to curating my sets, but this one drove me to new extremes. Figuring out the best way to tell my story in a way that was 100% true to my journey with music, eclectic and full of energy was challenging… but man, did it all come together.

To be honest, nothing could’ve prepared me for what was about to happen at that Canyon on Saturday night. The love, the joy, the passion, the togetherness. These are all the reasons I fell in love with music and it feels so good to give to people what music has given to me - even just a slither of it!

Playing at The Canyon was literally the best crowd, stage and hearts I’ve ever played for. Thank you to every single one of you who rocked with me for 3 hours!! A very special thank you to the @pangea_thetribe crew for trusting me with this slot - I will cherish this moment for a long long time ❤️ But lastly, a HUGE thank you to the DJ booth crew that kept me hype through it all!

@bentolina @fueg.oh @whymrblasewhy @katiekatiefr @cathpringle @pierre_estienne @dianact01 @naima_maleika @jeannekepaan @waldoevolution @earthmotherflop @aloealoemusic and anyone else I’m forgetting that supported me through this, THANK YOU ❤️❤️❤️

Precise. Groove-led. Uncompromising.

blaqkongo is a Ghanaian-Liberian DJ based in Cape Town whose development as an artist has been shaped by life between South Africa and Switzerland, as well as deep immersion in the local club culture over the past decade.

His approach centres on precision mixing, strong technical execution and a clear understanding of how to control energy across a set. Rather than being defined by one genre, he operates within a groove-driven framework that moves confidently between club-ready House, forward-thinking rhythms and sharper electronic textures.

His sets are built around momentum and system impact. Whether performing on festival stages or intimate club floors, blaqkongo adapts to the room while maintaining a distinctive edge in his selections.

Every transition has a reason. Every selection has intention.

He has performed at major events across Cape Town and shared stages with world-renowned artists, further establishing his presence across both local and international circuits.

But his influence doesn’t stop when he steps away from the decks.

Beyond DJing, blaqkongo plays an active role in shaping the culture around him. He has curated and built platforms including Slow Cooked Sundays and co-founded The Get Down in Cape Town, creating spaces that prioritise community and authentic musical expression.

And now, a recent release on MoBlack Records, supported early by influential artists in the global scene, signals his growing reach as both a selector and producer.

With momentum building across performances, curation and production, blaqkongo continues positioning himself as a versatile yet clearly defined force in contemporary electronic music.
